Link to relative game subforum in the store 'gamecard' page completed
The lack of this simple feature is perplexing self-sabotage on GOG's part.
I support this too. It's a small change and much profit for all. Steam does already have this since long time.
dunno what OP meant under "gamecard", but, for library, ability to move to related subforum in two clicks is necessary - personally I find it the main reason, why gag's subforums are dead
Was about to create that wish but the search saved me.
A must have, in general the gog website is poorly structured, there are a lot of feature not advertised which gets in the way of a perfect experience.
For example, this wish or the inexistence of direct link to the witcher redeem or the connect feature...
The home page and the specific store pages could be improved.
I don't know why this isn't implemented yet. I think this is an obvious feature.
please?
A lot of the GOG game forums are completely dead due to poor accessibility. I commonly post to the Steam forums instead as a chance of getting a response is far higher. Full Throttle Remastered, a game that's only on sale on GOG, currently has two threads on its GOG forum.
Each time i need to get to game subforums i look for this link, and each time i wonder why the hell it's not present.
It's THE CURRENT YEAR and this is still not implemented... :/
Is GOG afraid that people will not buy games after reading critical forum discussions? I thought GOG was meant to be more honest and customer-friendly than that.
This needs to be on the store page and on galaxy and everywhere. As most people here, I don't get why this isn't trivial.
It is more like a missing feature which would make navigating the site easier if it exists.
What takes so long? It's just a friggin' link. Steam has it and it's very useful.
Bumping this again. It's weird not to have this.
Is there a reason this hasn't been implemented yet?
Really should have been added with the site revamp. T_T
I'd like to add: the funny thing is that such a link DOES exist in your library so you can see how good the game is AFTER you bought it *headscratch*.
It is absolutely not understandable why this does not already exist. It is a win situation for GOG (selling more games because of reading in the forums that the game is great or meanwhile has been patched and runs better so you could buy it without any risk) and the customer of course. It is also not much work to do and would be implemented in max an hour or so.
This would be very welcome. I almost always want to visit the forum to check user experience and technical issues when browsing games. A direct link would be great. Please add this!
Wholeheartedly agreed.
When I consider buying a game, I always check the forums to see if there's anything I should be wary of with respect to that particular release.
For those of us who like to make such informed decisions, having a link on the game's store page would be a huge boost to the site's convenience.
I have also looked for this before.
This is definitely needed. It's NOT user friendly to have to search for a game discussion through the community link when there could be a link right on the store page.
Please add this gog!
Well I should have looked better before adding the post. Vote here instead: www.gog.com/wishlist/site/link_to_relative_game_subforum_in_the_store_gamecard_page
And I just saw there is a link from the "My Games" collection page also! :-/
I'm not sure what you're asking for here. If you click the game from your shelf in My Games, there's already a link to the forums there. That's my primary way of getting to them when needed.

More specifically, for people who wander in, it's a duplicate of secure.gog.com/wishlist/site/link_to_relative_game_subforum_in_the_store_gamecard_page
Hmm... I'm surprised this has received so many votes already. I was also thinking the same.
Yes, every time I don't see this I think it's weird! Why is it called a "gamecard" though? Strange wording. You just mean the store game page right?
Would be really helpful!
A link back to the store page from the forum would be helpful as well actually.
Would be great to have
Absolutley needed for me.
Before entering in the "Requested Site Features" section and searching and founding this request, I belived that even if you are a registered user on GOG site you can not access the forum of a game if you haven't bougth it first, go figure -_-
I would like this as well. Glad, but not surprised, someone else asked for this already. I don't know how many times I wish I didn't have to go to the community page to find the forum when the game page should have a link to it.
Uh, can't remember how often I wished this would be the case. I'm pretty sure I've at list twice contacted their support about this.
That would be helpful.
That would be nice, because currently the forum is not obvious, and it needs several clicks to get there (even when you KNOW where to click).
Why hasn't this been fulfilled yet?
Duplicate: www.gog.com/en/wishlist/site/link_to_relative_game_subforum_in_the_store_gamecard_pagePlease vote there since it's older and has more votes
Absolutely! Looking at a game page and deciding whether to buy it or not, having a handy link to the forum puts more game info at the potential purchaser's fingertips and increases likelihood of them buying. What patch does the game use? Is it buggy? Will it work on my system? Do people like/dislike it? Is there something else that's good to know about the game that isn't mentioned on the game page? Being able to jump to a forum where people are discussing these things, or even making it easier for a potential buyer to post a question about the game seems like a no=brainer to me.
We need more Traffic in the Game's subforums
Well, I'm guessing GOG doesn't want to do this because they could lose sales when people see and possibly misinterpret what others are saying in the game's forum. "This game isn't working for 2 people? No sale." Still, I like the idea, so voted.
If you pay as much attention to that page as you do to the wishlist, it may even be there and you wouldn't know. 13th different request for this. Search is your friend. www.gog.com/en/wishlist/site/link_to_relative_game_subforum_in_the_store_gamecard_page
duplicate, sorry:)
Yeah... I'd say duplicate of www.gog.com/en/wishlist/site/link_to_relative_game_subforum_in_the_store_gamecard_page but in fact it's the ELEVENTH different request for this, if my count holds. Some have been cleaned up by mods since though.
looks like GOG staff merged the duplicate requests, good job! ;)
Original request over here: www.gog.com/en/wishlist/site/link_to_relative_game_subforum_in_the_store_gamecard_page Go vote for that. (If I'm not mistaken, this is the TENTH different request for this. Search a wee bit first, k?)
I'd like to extend that feature request to the game shelf. Not including a link to the community solutions is a blatant shame, because they are useful whereas the GoG standard suggestions (which are the same for just about any game) should be degraded to a single "general suggestions before sending a support request".
www.gog.com/en/wishlist/site/link_to_relative_game_subforum_in_the_store_gamecard_page Eighth different request for this...
I reported my wish as a duplicate of the link you provided.
