By doing so, promotions such as Indie Piñata can avoid games that the user already owns on Steam as well as ones that they already own on GOG.com.

I would appreciate if it would at least be indicated if I already have a game on Steam. So far only "connected" (www.gog.com/connect) games are shown as owned, but they are also in the GOG library. What I am thinking of is just a "owned on Steam" status indication...

This would be a great wish if it was possible, games I already owned on Steam would show up as already bought on here, as well as games already purchased here, will not go into funding Steam (because it was already purchased here).

And checking different clients for duplicate games does get tedious if your library gets rather large...

Was just about to make this suggestion, but good that searched first. I am most likely not going to by now on sale from you. Reason: My Steam account has almost 2000 games. If I buy from you, I have to manually every time double check. IF I could link account here and your shop shows what is already owned in steam, it would be much more "oh, let's grab that" buys ;) So: Without linking you loose money.
