For those who have bought games on impulse, regretted it, have no intention of playing them, haven't ever downloaded them or their bonus features and want to give them away to someone who will put them to use.

When you buy a box version of a DRM-free game like The Witcher 3, you can legally sell it to someone, when you get bored of the game. People do the same with console games. But you can't do that when you bought your game directly on gog.com. For that to be possible, GOG would need to allow us to transfer a game to another account.

Without such feature I'm not sure if GOG is 100% DRM-free. Remember that DRM doesn't stop piracy - it only prevents people from buying used games.

I mean, some people have a good point too. Pirates are ALWAYS gonna pirate, whether or not gog,com exists or not, pirates ALWAYS find a way to get past everything. So really, I guess what does it matter If I were to say "I'm sick and tired of this game and don't care to play it again" "here random gog forum user, take this game?" or maybe I could create a begging thread and ask someone who is sick of a certain game to let me have it? I don't know. I wonder how it would work so that we could still do it legally and without causing problems?

I vote yes for this, but I have no idea how it would NOT be abused. This is extremely difficult to do without causing legal problems.

I think this is tricky territory as GoG may have agreements in place that prevent it. Nonetheless if I have a game on disk I can sell it to somebody else even after I played it. So in my view the same should count for digital content and it's been something people have been asking of Steam for yonks. I see account restriction as nothing different than a form of DRM so in that light I vote yes for this.

As soon as one dishonest person buys a DRM-free copy of a game, it's available to everyone else for free. Not allowing legitimate buyers (especially ones GOG knows have never touched their games) to transfer their games doesn't stop dishonest people from selling or giving away copies. Yeah, GOG would make more money by ensuring that people are stuck with unwanted games so that others always have to buy their own copies, but that doesn't really sound like GOG's style.

Not good for GOG and has a very hairy legal status. This is one category where DRM-free offline install media are still the best.
This would cost GOG an incredible amount of money because immediately a really huge number of games would be available for free.
