The Rise and Rule of Ancient Empires
I have fond memories of this game and would like a chance to play it again. The music alone makes the game worth repurchasing even after all these years.
Would instantly buy this game. I remember playing this for HOURS on end and never getting sick of it. Please see about getting this into your system for purchase.
I have been trying to set up an emulator on my computer to run this game but I continue to run into problems getting it working.
This was the best game ever. Maybe even better than Lords II.
It was really Good playing it with a Friends.
Another game found by me in my quest to find some old good DOS strategy games after playing the Master of Magic - and having a blast. Would buy.
Despite its bad reviews, I always had a blast playing this. This is an instant sale to me if GOG puts it up!
This has massive memories for myself. My father still has the disc, although I don't think it's readable anymore... (My have been my fault through my youth...) If I found this title on here I would value and treasure this one forever. Absolutely loved this and really helped my young mind with immersion in a game!
This was one of my first computer games and I adored it. I've kept the disc through every move even though I haven't had a computer that would run it in years. It would be amazing to get to play this awesome little game again.
This was my first strategy game, and it was love at first sight. I must have been around 12 when my dad bought our first computer, and I remember us playing this game side by side for hours! I still have the disk but after windows 98, I haven't been able to get it to run on any system. The reason I found out about this site, and have bought many games here is because I originally came looking for Rise and Rule. This game inspired my passion for history and i'm pretty sure its why I became a history major when i "grew up".
I would love to have this game again !
I would alternate between this and Civ 2, for the change in pace between mechanical balance. Very good hidden gem indeed, and well deserving of more appreciation. I.e., if a nice little company could maybe tilt the spotlight from its overshadowing, more popular cousin ;)
I sort of remember this. I think I still have the CD. I haven't been able to get it to run on my last five computers, though. X-D
