cesa210 Well as acompromise konami could just port the original PC versions with the new voices. <br /> <br /> And since i think the voice scripts are the same then the modding community,not been under the same limitations as konami, could bring the old voices to the new pc port. <br /> <br /> I don't if its illegal but a least konami, been good old konami, could not care less unless it gets them into a legal problem, so they just bring down the mod and move on. <br /> <br /> The only problem i see is that the original silent hill 3 port had some fps issues and no matter what is the system you have it jumps from 30 fps to 60 fps all the time. And i personally experience this in a XP machine, a WVista machine and a W7 machine. All across 4 different processors and like 6 graphics cards, both Nvidia and AMD/ATI, Intel and AMD alike too.
JustanotherArda For Silent Hill 2 and 3, I heard that they have a problem with voice actors. Plus, there is a source code missing, they have to solve these and release 2 and 3 but it will be very demanding for them, releasing 4 and 1 is the best bet for now, I guess but if 2 and 3 is released, mine and everyone else's nightmares about playing it pirately will be over. <br /> <br /> Note: You're not thinking about the HD Collection for SH2 and SH3, right Konami?
JustanotherArda I wonder if it's possible for Silent Hill 1 to be applied to a new engine without changing anything else. For instance, Bethesda has made this for The Ultimate Doom and Doom II: Hell on Earth. If Silent Hill 1 can be implemented to a new engine like that, in fact, if Konami cares to do that (Actually, releasing SH4 may be a hint) SH1 would be played on PC splendidly and most PC's can run it without running into issues such as FPS drops, low FPS crashes and so on.

I request that please re-release Silent Hill 2 and 3 we need it. We don't see horror games like the Silent Hill Series please Konami make us relive our childhood memories again. sageh2001 Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4 did have PC versions released, but only as CD ROMs. Please bring these over!
dingdong55 If Konami could bring some Metal Gear games and Castlevania games to GOG, I can see them working out a deal to have Silent Hill's 2 through 4 get re-released on PC via GOG. That is, if they can actually re-release the PC ports for Silent Hill's 2 through 4.

At least the PC ports couldn't be worse than that HD Collection turns out :P

REALclaire They patched in the option for the original voices for SH2 at least so that's not true in that case. SH3 idk tho. Either way, most of the work is already done in terms of fixing SH2&3. GOG just needs to get Konami on board to sell them. In the mean time, they're pretty much abandonware that you can find on any site specializing in those kinda games
akyruz Please make this possible. The physical version of these games go for hundreds of dollars on ebay. Players have the right to play these masterpieces. P.S. The original releases, Not the remaster collection -_-

Ciocolici It would be so awesome, but it is impossible. Konami does not have the rights for the voices in SH2&3 and probably 4 too. Since when they remastered the 2 games they had to use other actors. The only thing we could get is a PC port to the 2 remasters, which I heard are pretty bad

Paleblud This would be incredible. Although, finding an exe for SH2 is not hard, and the fanmade Enhanced Edition makes it the best version of the game out there.
Feeble_Peasant Pretty sure that Silent Hill 2 PC is abandonware at this point. You can find a free download of it if you know where to look. You can also grab Silent Hill: Enhanced Edition which is a pretty sweet little mod that makes it look and play better on modern systems.
havoc4gaming this really needs to happen at this rate future generations will not be able to silent hill 2 at all from either limited copies on PS2 or bad HD ports which can't even be bought on any digital store as bad as they are if this gets on GOG people will buy it
