RoboCop.406 Correction: Space Race
RoboCop.406 The PC version of MM2 is much better than the Mega Drive version because of the Construction Kit that you get in the PC version. I believe Micro Machines 96 for Mega Drive was the Director's Cut version of MM2 because of the excess data that couldn't be fitted in the ROM cartridge as those 16-bit data storage ROM cartridges were limited.
But this game should be back on the market online along with some additional enhancements along with 50 odd custom maps that I had from my old MM2 PC Special Edition near 1997. I was disappointed that I couldn't make my custom blocks transparent nor specially customised to go "x-ray" - which was featured and modified on the custom Construction Kit map "Space Wars". I couldn't find the special mod nor kit that can program that. And to tell you the truth those Construction Kit maps would do better if it had more blocks - or better make it more complicated like the stock MM2 maps used for the game.
buttermancan This is one of my favourite games from my childhood. Actually it's one of my favourite games of all time.
It is better than Micro Machines 96. The handling of the cars on Micro Machines 96 is nowhere near as good as Micro Machines 2 Turbo Tournament. Even though the Megadrive version I owned did not have a Track designer I know that the Pc version did. Please bring this to GOG as I guarantee all my friends will buy it if you do online multiplayer. They'll buy it even if you don't.
I got this game for the megadrive Christmas 94...I was looking forward to it so much and it genuinely exceeded my expectations when i got my hands on it. You cant say that about too many games made recently. It really is super arcade fun at it's best.
