Onlooker I'm willing to bet that this is at least partly on Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment. They have been considerably anti-PC in the last few months and it wouldn't surprise me to find out that they never gave a DRM-free, Linux version of Dying Light a second thought.

##@@##@@ Even if there are technical issues: They released other games even not really running like SUPERHOT at last. There were even threee major updates until the game based on the Unity-Engine was running. And there were other games in the past which had Linux-versions until release, then never seen here again. So I think GOG treats Linux-users as some kind of second-class!
##@@##@@ @shmerl: I know, but we have also no real reason for the lack of "Metro" for example and just this article posted one year ago. GOG has nothing said to this until then - even though Deep Silver has given them the binaries for "Metro" on Linux.
CASBiGIS What infuriates me is the lack of an official statement from GOG and Techland about this situation.
shmerl "Day of the Tentacle Remastered" wasn't released for Linux at all yet, developers only plan it later, so it's not the same case like Metro and Dying Light which have Linux versions, but GOG just can't release them here for some weird reason.

Waited now more than a year and nothing happened, asked for "Metro" and "Dying Light". Guess what: Support is ignoring my request. Seems not be very interesting answering the questions of a Linux-customer? So now I've bought "Day of the Tentacle Remastered" again with the hope for a Linux-release. But this will be the last one, GOG. Don't treat me like a second-class customers! And I won't use WINE all the time.
Adarion Again, this is something that I don't really understand. I mean, it is the same coders / publisher for both binaries, right? So why not obtain both versions? The list of "Games with a Linux port ... elsewhere" continues to grow.
This is something that makes people somewhat impatient when there is a Windows version here (DRM free FTW!) but not the Linux version, even though it already exists. Then people start either buying it elsewhere, or still here, but hoping (sometimes in vain?) that the Linux version will follow.
I would have been on the latter case (buy it on GoG DRM free and hope for the Linux version to come...) but I was a bit hesitant cause I would need stronger HW. So I went to a Linux community event on the weekend and gave myself some time to think about it. And when I returned on Monday the offer had vanished.... cause I am from fvcking Germany and they don't want to sell good games to German customers.
I feel discriminated, again: First as a Linux user, and secondly as a person who has the (sometimes questionable) luck to be born in Germany. (Yes, I know about our stupid BPjM, but everybody here ought to be 18+!)
Yes, Metro is also missing. I even have it on Steam. On Linux. But I double-licensed it - just to have it here DRM free! (And I am officially considered "poor" in my country.) But still no Linux version to see on GoG.
It would be nice if some official person could shed some light upon things and honestly say without any NDA crap what is happening and why. Is there a quality issue? Does the publisher ask for ridiculous amounts of money? Do they have problems with fair pricing? Absence of DRM? But why then have the Windows version?

Agetian Voted. It sucks that this has clearly become a trend (AoW3, Cities in Motion, now Dying Light - I know there are other examples too). What sucks even more is that posts that ask for the official information on whether the Linux version will be released in the future are typically completely ignored by the GOG crew - that's not a way to treat your good and honest customers, even if we (Linux users) are a minority.

Matruchus Nope, Metro is not Steam exclusive. Gog has the linux version since last June-July when Deep Silver delivered it to them. Officially gog is having technical difficulties to get the games running. Unofficially the game runs perfect on Linux, there are even several videos on youtube showing it running better then on Windows. Obviously its some internal gog issue aka zero interest for linux support.
CASBiGIS Maybe the linux version is steam exclusive because of some clause of the contract between the publisher and Valve...
I think the same about the linux version of Metro Redux (or maybe because the linux version of both metro redux are indeed bugged)..
##@@##@@ Come on, GOG: If you really take this seriously you have to find a soluation. This is not the first game with that problem, only one within a large amount of releases counting with the "Metro"-series and more.
