Please support vote us for #AtomicBombermanOnGOG
Thanks you, kind Regards
I own Them on CD also, but will now throw money at GOG.
Awesome. So it has happened. Well, I do have them on CD but here's my money.
I own these here; they were my first ever purchase at GOG and how I discovered the site. IMO, Fallout is synonymous with GOG's origins, as that's what I remember them having when they opened and wowed so many of us with the idea of returning long abandoned classic games to legal sale again, no strings attached. It is genuinely a sad sign that these were withdrawn from the site, by a company (Zenimax/Bethesda) that lost a LOT of respect from me for that move. I own these on my GOG account, I own the original Interplay CDs, I think EVERYONE should be able to buy these classics on GOG, because without GOG many would never have played them... and without Fallout being here, many would not have found GOG.
I already own all three of these here, on the pre-Bethesda triolgy DVD, and individually on original release packages. I voted for them again in the hopes that htose of you who don't have them can get them here again.
They are my favorite games
uncut, multilanguage text and voice!
If it wasn't for the ill-fated giveaway I wouldn't have come across GOG or given the first 3 Fallout games a chance and now I'm in love with all of those things! It's really wishing for the stars but if GOG ever got the FO games back it would be doing the world a favor.
The news struck me as the world is going to end. Getting FO1&FO2 for free here was the reason I came to GOG and Columboed this place at all :D thanks GOG, now I am buying stuff I dont have time for, but at least I will leave my kids one day some proper games... if you by any chance update those games for windows 317 version :D
BEST ROL GAMES 4 EVER
WHY OH WHY I didn't get the Tactics at that giveaway or just bought it from GOG when it was available... :'( I prefer it over the 1&2.
What are the chances of this coming back for free like I have seen a few times but, of course, missed.
I personally found the Steam release to be unplayable, so I'm hoping for the best with this.
With the exception of tactics, it is actually DRM free on Steam as well. I the 'Tactics' case, just using an official patch will solve that part too. That said, I really do want it back on GOG. I much prefer games DRM free, than trusting Steam to never change their minds. Goes for any game really.
Bethesda = bunch of a-holes.
Maybe my two favorite games of all time, own them on here and on disk format but these are classics that fans of RPGs/dystopian fiction should play!
"I think bethesda did not appreciate the free giveaway of Fallout 1 & 2, hence why it's back on Steam but not on GoG."
GOG probably can't simply just give away games for free. They probably have to have an agreement with the company who owns the games.
bethesda a shit
Yes, please.
Alredy own 'em on Steam, would like for my GOG fellows.
Like others I luckily managed to get them for free when GOG was giving them away. Despite winning my prize I have to say it was a pretty bad decision by GOG, they should have just offered them as a discount. I don't think we will see FO 1, 2 and Tactics back on GOG for a really long time I am sorry to say!
I am lucky enough to get this for free before they taken out.
if Bethesda should bundle FO1+2 with any modern FO release. Boycotting till they do
I think bethesda did not appreciate the free giveaway of Fallout 1 & 2, hence why it's back on Steam but not on GoG.
I was luck enough to get them before they got taken down. Damn silly move Bethesda, the chance of me buying this on Steam would have been minimal.
Bought it the minute i saw it was out on cd, FO 1 and 2
and a few years later there was a FallOut Collection for win95/98/2000 and ME and i also bought it
it was a thick dvd case (black colored)
the price (i forgot) but it was very cheap cause it contained all 3 :D
Loaded with drm i think but back then tehre was no GOG, so i had to do with the available stuff.
Each game is currently £7.99 for each game, making all 3 cost £24. I'm not impressed with Bethesda, money, money and more money.
I own all those games so I don't ask for me. I ask because Bethesda is really stepping over the line by putting them back on sale on Steam but not on GOG. And for what? So they can make Europeans customers pay €9.99 while the USD pricing is $9.99 (yeah everyone can use a proxy server)?
Keep up promoting pricing transparency dear GOG because it's obvious other online platforms won't do it.
Even though I own them already, they should be brought back because everyone should play these gems!
I got them before being taken down but would still like them to be on again for the others.
Voted even though I bought them before GOG lost the distribution license, because these are some of the finest RPGs ever released and an important part of game history. Let's introduce the next generation of gamers to these classics!
Wow, when I saw this topic, I was going to post, to say 'we have fallout 1, 2, and tactics, guys!' but after reading this forum and then searching GOG, I found they aren't in the list of games any longer.
Fortunately I have them, already, in my library and have downloaded them xD but that doesn't help anyone else :( wtf, man?
Fortunatelly I bought all of these before the problems and they apparently negotiated the terms with Bethseda so that is stays in my library....otherwise, it sure sucks.
Bethesda's actions are weird at best, I'm not going to speculate on why they took away these fatanstic games. But the end result was that it made them look like dicks. Now that those games are back but only on steam they look like even bigger dicks.
These games were pulled out because of Bethesda which holds the rights now. They are not coming back :(
Fallout is back on Steam. Don't know about GOG though store.steampowered.com/sub/45615/
They removed the games for a reason, I can't imagine they will add them back after GOG gave them for free.
If you guys can get them back, I would buy them (When I get a card :)
Well, all I'll say is if it comes back: I'm buying!
Please don't muddy the waters by including multiple games in one votable item.
Vote to get Bethesda/Zenimax games onto GOG here. www.gog.com/wishlist/site/strike_a_deal_w_zenimax_media_inc
And another vote added. Why on earth would they want to remove it from GOG. Are they actually expecting to make a ton of sales on those old games anywhere else? People even get all hot and bothered for how companies dare to take 20 or so bucks from new and upcoming games of that genre like Shadowrun Returns or Wasteland 2 (just take a look at the Steam Forums). And both of them are very solid, if not fantastic, games to represent that kinda games. On here Bethesda does have the perfect crowd for that kinda games to actually sell well and not to be looked upon as a mere relic from the past that isn't worth a penny anymore. Oh well maybe they someday come to their senses.
Bethesda will make the right decision one day...
It won't happen but what the hell... signed!
@Psycronian
I know they did, and I had them all since before that. Not the point...
You realize that they had it on here about a month ago for free. Should check site out regularly. Or even watch your email.
@Tychoxi: Bethesda/Zenimax is Steams lapdog and has no interest in releasing any of their games on other digital distribution stores unless they agree to only sell steam keys.
This however should not prevent anyone from voting the games on wishlist or trying to persuade them to come to GOG by other means. Hopefully someday GOG grows large enough that Bethesda/Zenimax can't ignore it.
why are the chances so low? With some luck Zenimax will be now called into attention regarding GOG's awesomeness and we'll see Morrowind here in no time!!
Even if the chances are that low it's still worth a try, It's not like clicking the vote button will tire you out for a week.
Chances of happening? Less than 0.01%.
