Developed by Cryo Interactive and published by Virgin Interactive, Dune blends adventure with economic and military strategy. Dune 2 is one of first great RTS games out there and worthy of appearing on GOG.

Vargas78 I think it's possible that the Herbert estate doesn't want any possible issues arise from the De Laurentis estate as the games particularly the first game draws heavily from the 80's film in it's visual style. I think it even had the princess Irulan introduction.

Dogmaus As Plokite_Wolf has written, if you want to play anything Dune related, don't wait for in to be on sale on any platform, find a copy in a different manner.
Dogmaus This games are really too much different and unrelated, and also have their own entries. I remeber buying Dune 2 and being really disappointed that it was not an adventure. I had no clue really.

Adarion I still have Dune 1 on CD-ROM, one of my first CD games and I played it on my 486 DX2 66 with 8 MiB RAM and a SB16. Those were the times!
Sadly I encountered a game logic bug in the very last (?) mission so I could not finish it. (I left person A in cave X and placed person B (who needs to talk to A) in cave Y, one screen adjacent to X. Then both refused to move until they had spoken with each other... ) Still Dune 1 was a great adventure and Dune 2 a comfortable RTS (not too hectic).

Hukker I glaf that some many other folks are rewuested this i vote all Dune topics would love to see come alive again somehow would buy it.I played the one called Dune and i have sseen my father playing it useing a english dicatonary.

I want the Dune made by Cryo Interactive (French) and published by Virgin Interactive. I don't care much for the others (even though the other Dune is a great piece of gaming history). It's an amazing old game with an epic epic epic soundtrack and slick visuals (holds up very well to time), and interesting gameplay. All this make the atmosphere surreal. It's more of a RPG/Adventure game than strategy, but there's still some strategy elements. Please add it, I had so much fun with it over the years, as I keep revisiting it all the time. I also keep listening the the soundtrack often. Please.
