Devotion
...still waiting for Devotion, lets go GoG!
@caesarzx We can be pragmatic and accept censorship (and CCP influence) in our life when it's most practical/convenient to do so or we can stand by our ideals. Big corporations under greed have already caved in (Blizzard & Tencent come to mind), but we don't have to.

It'll be so easy to be acceptive of this kind of behaviour as the norm, complicit on the influence of a Communist regime ("messages from many gamers" - Xi Jinping's cronies). But these are things I can't tolerate. People can go ahead and support GOG and the approach they took in this situation, indicative that they can get away with this kind of behaviour in the future. I won't compromise myself and my values. Give an inch and they'll take a mile.
@caesarzx why are you even wasting your time on this forum? You are entitled to your opinion, as am I and the thousands of people that seem to agree with me here. No need to comment back, I have no interest in your naive fanboy delusions.
oh btw the Cumulative Total Revenue lost since i began my boycott now totals $919.73 USD, quite the pretty penny indeed! at this rate ill have to find a new hobby to spend all this money im saving!
well its a day late but here is my weekly boycott update. its a shame for CDPR/GOG there were alot of good games i would have bought if not for their unethical behavior. shuch a shame. Title / Price
Serment - Contract with a Devil/$7.49 Lichtspeer Complete Bundle/$5.49 Operencia: The Stolen Sun – Explorer’s Pack/$3.49 Shining Song Starnova: Idol Empire/$5.99 Dread Nautical/$9.99 Operencia: The Stolen Sun – Explorer’s Edition/$17.54 AKIBA'S TRIP: Undead & Undressed/$9.99 Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning FATE Edition/$27.49
until next week.........
@g4ijin Maintaining your values is crucial, but facing reality is just as important and even trickier. CDP is obviously struggling between a market with almost unlimited potential and the buying customers who (or used to) support them. Do you really want to keyboard your value just to make you "feel righteous about yourself"? Being a part of this...this huge historical battle between Evil and Good feel good right? CDP is not stupid when it did it's calculation, and I am actually glad for it, while I dont feel happy about this Pooh aftermath . I bought Devotion on Steam right before it was taken down. The game is good, but it's definitely not THAT GOOD for us to lose fate on CDP.
@chumfleet When I say "small", I mean relatively small. Even Gaben doesn't has the balls to release this game on his platform world wide, so why are you even mentioning something like "net worth"? And when I say "small", I mean relatively small. "I ain't buying" votes or any sort of political value related threats only make the situation tougher on CDP's side. Stop being like a "Karen" and try to see a bigger picture. This political deep shit is not a little trivia like 2077's bug disasters or regular PR crisis. It is too big, big enough for CDP to say nothing about it instead of making some cheap walk-in-the-park apology/explanation videos by the boss. What we(one who doesn't want this happen AGAIN) really should do is help CDP grow much bigger and someday it may have the balls of saying NOs to China. I have 897 games on my GOG account, and I am pretty sure I will keep buying games from them until I die.
Either come clean about the real reason you're bailing on offering the game for sale, or OFFER the game for SALE like you SAID you would.
@g4ijin If you got yourself a 'free' game on GOG recently - they now sneak email 'signups' into that 'get for free' button, you can however disable those 'signups' again after clicking that button
. . . . . . . . . also funny typo in my previous comment 'CCP GOG' - hahahaha
@LifeLover CCP GOG announced release of Devotion on Chinese social media. Then CCP sheep complained and GOG groveled to CCP and reversed their release decision. See beginning of this thread https://www.gog.com/forum/general/devotion_is_coming_to_gog_on_dec_18th/page1
Can someone tell what has happened, I missed beginning...
Listen to your customers and release the game immediately.
Release Devotion
@caesarzx do your homework. CDPR/GOG has a net worth of over 8.1 billion dollars. They are the largest video game industry company in Europe ahead of Ubisoft.
Still waiting GOG.
@caesarzx

You have made a terrible, terrible post.
@caesarzx Just because that's the truth of the situation doesn't mean we have to accept it as ok. I stand by my values. I need an explanation from GOG as to why the removed this game, beyond 'we listened to gamers.'
Hey, I dunno why all of a sudden I'm getting discount emails again, but, uh, thanks? Add this game to your library again, send me a discount code to my email, and see what happens, friends. (Hint: it will be what I haven't done yet: make a purchase.)
@caesarzx so you're saying we should accept gog re-releasing a game then change their minds last second, under the developers nose; Then use us "gamers" as a scapegoat for their decision when in reality, we know why they did it. And lets not mention cyberpunk and all the shit it and CDPR are being thrown at, deservedly. We shouldn't be accepting games being refused to sell on store fronts; And "muh communist money" shouldn't be, at all, a excuse. Plus the last thing china needs is MORE control over the worlds shit. Stop being a gog/CDPR apologist and realize what they did shouldn't have happened, and get with the program. otherwise feel free to leave.
lol @caesarzx yes poor innocent CDPR who lied to their shareholders about the state of Cyberpunk2077 then lied to their customer base about why they pulled Devotion, those poor poles are the real victims here. once you stop being a good guy, you don't deserve good guy treatment anymore. they've inflicted these wounds on themselves.
8600 "won't buying your games anymore!" threatening votes from GOG users vs. a single threat of "shutting down all business in Chinese market" from the Chinese gov? This is too much to ask for a small polish company who struggles to survive this crazy world. China is there, and it always will be there. Forget about Devotion and hope for other games, more realistic ones. Com'on, GOGers are smarter than this. I know you all are, because CDP is.
Please release Devotion!
Well, marketing is marketing and China is nothing to sneeze at, but they could at least make a follow-up tweet. I am dumb and don't understand the choice of not publishing game world-wide while censoring it in China (though offensive content was already removed).
Also, I strongly suggest everyone who's unhappy with their decision to put a Winnie the Pooh avatar in their profile, as a sign of protest.
8 thousand Winnie the Pooh avatars won't go unnoticed by China.
Embarassing. GOG has turned into the same kind of company they used to mock, back in the days. I guess they never had real values and it was all marketing, after all. I'll get my games somewhere else.
RELEASE DEVOTION
@dycaite, honestly, at this point I couldn't care less about whatever bullshit excuses these windbags come up with. Release the game, nothing else will do.
I'll bet whatever hot-headed executive put this whole catastrophe into motion expected everything to have blown over by now... Well it hasn't and as long as you keep ignoring us, it won't. So... When are you going to acknowledge us?
ccp, Twitter, facebook, msm, sjw and leftists won't buy your games, WE DO! People who actually work and earn money and we give you our money in exchange for our satisfaction as a customer.
You want me to buy Cyberpunk 2077, since you don't bring Devotion, you won't sell me CP2077.
Stop being cowards
Still no answer eh ?
Pathetic. Banning it on China would be okay (sadly)... but globally? Fuck you.
C'mon guys, you suppose to be the good ones.
wow, very disappointed in GOG, shameful
fall from grace
Over a month now... They're in this for the long haul, huh... Luckily, we are too :)
The lack of transparency is not very cash money of you
Listing to gamers MY ASS Release Devotion NOW
A followup on that inscrutable tweet. Please.
still waiting for you to say something
For those asking for 'Detention' here - there are several wishlist entries for that too - like this one: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/detention_deluxe_edition_with_soundtracks
Detention is great! It's the main reason I'm excited about Devotion in the first place. Never forget: Gog's cowardice didn't just cost us one but TWO great games.
Release Devotion and Detention.
Release Devotion
Bring back Devotion. Fuck CCP.
Here is this weeks boycott update. not alot for sale this week so not i would have bought. hopefully there will be more games not to buy next week
Title/Price
Interstellar Space: Genesis/$14.99
Bridge Constructor Playground/$3.99
Bridge Constructor Stunts/$3.99
Total revenue lost this week=$22.97 USD
Cumulative Total Revenue lost=$832.26 USD
Fuck you GOG, release Devotion you fucks.
GOG seems to have traded their existing customer base for promises of access to the Chinese market.
If these gamers from Communist China don't like the game, they should not buy it. That is their way to show that they don't support such games. Demanding it taken down from a global platform is not how that works. As a Polish based company GoG should be smarter than to fall for these totalitarian mannerisms. You've been there too and you know why you decided to not put up with that kind of BS, so don't enforce that BS on global scale please ;-) Thanks
The whole "listened to gamers" was GOG's way of saying they've caved in to pressure coming from Red China.
I won’t buy anything from CD Project Red and Gog anymore. I don’t want to support coward who surrender to CCP’s will.
