No letting developers use GOG Galaxy to get away with DRM locking the multiplayer components (or any components) of their games
Sorry, but this should be locked. The title and description don't match. DRM and mods are two different topics. Perhaps the OP would like to comment in the "workshop" suggestions expressing their concern about using mod support for indirect DRM.
Possibly the "steam workshop" thing is because you must have the client installed logged in online in order to download or apply mods. Having mods that could be downloaded (even if only when logged in), then applied offline would make this awesome.
I think the real point of this is: games like Stronghold Crusader 2 have absolutely no native multiplayer (even LAN!!?), and so require GOG Galaxy client and separate accounts per player. If it walks like a DRM, and talks like a DRM...
+1 for a GOG Workshop
What? Workshop for mod support does not have to result in games being tied to GOG. And it has NOTHING to do with DRM. Maybe I'm not understanding you (but you didn't put much info about what you want), so if I'm misunderstanding, I'm sorry. Basically, not having mods is the main reason I can't ditch Steam entirely for GOG!
