Red Faction 2

Less is meh

Behold, the legendary Geomod engine 2.0! Now with even less destruction than the first! This is one of my biggest childhood games but luckily I can take off my nostalgia goggles and rate it for what it truly is: Pretty much a downgrade in most aspects. The single player was significantly better though, but still nothing to write home about. The biggest crime here is obviously the scaled down destruction engine but the multiplayer is still fun. It now has multiple game modes plus an extra one for beating the game. You can even customise your own bots which is cool. Overall, average with moments of coolness.

Minecraft before minecraft

Ok, that may not be true but the multiplayer of this game is ridiculously fun not for the gunplay but for the fact that you can go Terraria on the stages ass. That and the railgun. Unfortunately last I checked there weren't many multiplayer servers still running this game, but bear in mind I played the steam version and not this. I would recommend this game if you could get a bunch of mates to play it with you. You will burn HOURS just fooling around with geo- mod in multiplayer. Single player isn't up to much unfortunately as the campaign made the silly choice of taking focus away from terrain deformity and instead focused on rather middling gunplay.
