Police Quest: SWAT 1+2

Not working

Crashes when I try and play the first mission. Tried googling and finding solution, even on GoG forum. But none is working. Please fix.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

Not an RPG

If you think this is an RPG, you are mistaken. This is an action game. Kingdom Come Deliverance on the other hand, is a proper RPG. RPG stands for role playing = means you can play a role how you like. That means, killing, stealing whoever you want. You can not do that in Witcher 3. The game also suffers from clunky and slow responsive controls and boring and silly combat: You can either just mash on a button killing every enemy around you, or you roll-jump around looking like something out of a cartoon. Impossible to get immersed in this.

Crysis®

Total action from start to finish

I remember buying a brand new computer just for this game. I just knew it was good before it even came. It got top notch action, well blend of realism and sci-fi. You can also play it how you want: Stealthy or Rambo. Huge maps, many ways of traversing and doing objectives. The game looks amazing even to this day. You can also find improved A.I and graphic mods to make it even better. 10 / 10 !!! A must buy if you love action

Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition

Amazing

Just play it. It's one of those games that comes once in a lifetime I think. Superb gameplay and animation. Interesting and varied puzzles. A beautiful told story. I prefer the original on Sege Genesis since that's how I played it. The new version seems a bit too polished and slick.

Crusader: No Regret™

Play No Remorse instead

I just recently finished No Remorse (again), and wanted to try No Regret. What I love about No Remorse is the badass intro (any good game got to have this), intriguing plotline, good level design and balanced yet challenging and fun gameplay. No Regret have none of this. "But Tom, it's basically the same game" I hear you say. Well, yes...and no. Actually they changed the gameplay a far bit: It's much more fluid and faster now. You can also roll forward. The problem is that now the level design is too linear, and there are traps basically every step of the way. In every friggin hallway you encounter mines, booby traps, mecs, enemies constantly spawning in front and behind you. I feel like the devs who made this map just want to annoy the player and not want them to succeed. You will constantly be saving and reloading since you sort of have to predict what is ahead of you for to survive. They turned it more into a slow and strategic puzzle game. Which is not what Crusader No Remorse was about: It was about running in, gunning everything that you saw and sometimes dodge away with cool animations. Instead No Regret makes you slowly check every detail of a room before you slowly take your baby steps to make sure you set off no traps. It's just frustrating and boring. Also the plotline is boring and not interesting. In the original you had a very unique and cool consept: You were working for the bad guys, but your team fucked up and now they want you killed. So you escape and starts working for the rebels, which don't trust you to begin with. So you have to earn your trust. It also had some big twists in the end which made you just curious how the story ended. Sadly with No Regret I quit playing after 3 missions. It was just tedious, boring and not interesting. Sad. Because I love No Remorse and will probably play it many more times before my demise.

Flashback™

Great action / adventure game!

I played this game many times. From the Amiga to Sega to PC version. They are all good. So I expect this version is good as well. At least from reading the reviews. I might buy the Gog version when I feel the Flashback itch again. It usually comes close to christmas, since that is when I first got the game as a kid

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Unengaging and ungchallenging

I play games to play, not to watch a cutscenes every 5 minutes. Also when you are playing you are basically just holding down "w" in a maze towards you next cutscene or "fight". I say "fight" because this must be the most easy game I ever played. If you are looking for good sword fight game with gore, look up Severance Blade of Darkness. I uninstalled the game after 20 minutes. It was that boring. Good graphics and decent animations though.

X-Com: UFO Defense

Best strategy game of all time

I always come back to this. Even though I first played it in 1994 as a 12 year old kid. It got it all: best RTS action strategy, base building, management, research, discovering new alien races. And all the mods you can get for it today. It's a must buy!

Nice atmosphere, but lacks gameplay

Nice graphics and atmosphere, but I feel I am hardly playing a game. Just walking around and clicking. I wish you had more freedom to do stuff. The puzzles are basically just scanning and looking for textures and click on them. And when you enter people's minds... it's often too long sequense that you just want to get out of. And the story is a bit confusing and not very engaging.
