I don't remember this being a problem on the old gaming systems, but the controls in this PC game are awful with the keyboard. Aiming diagonally only seems to work half the time, and the movement in general is unresponsive and just doesn't seem to deal well with quick directions/inputs for precise movement. Add the steep difficulty, and you have a game that is flat out not fun.
