What the heck is wrong with this game?

It refuses to stop letting me play :(((((( (one more level syndrome). As all reviews have stated, this is a very straightforward vertical shooter. It's more like Space Invaders than Raiden or Psikyo's Strikers series. Enemies will approach you in rigid patterns, but that's not a bad thing, because the whole point of the game is to kill stuff, upgrade your ship with better weapons (which I should add are critical to your progression), kill more stuff, and then some. Where it's awesome is that it perfects the graphical and musical feel of it. Killing stuff never feels like you're just exploding balls of cotton wool, if that analogy makes sense. Stuff explode with bangs and booms and pffshts and what not. It's like Stress Relief 101. It's pretty replayable too. Granted, when you have beaten Elite difficulty three times, there's virtually no reason to play it anymore. And yet, it is easy to just quickly hop back into the game and kill stuff just for the sake of it. Raptor will be on my hard drive for a long time to come.
