Wizardry 8

if the price is right

I got this game back in 02 or 03. At the time, it pushed the limits of my computers Celeron processor. If memory serves me correctly, the game started out o.k. I though the combat was tougher than normal but other than that I had no problems with the first dungeon. When I made it to town however I soon gave up on the game. The town itself had no uniuque structures or buildings that I can remember. No NPC's to talk to, and the combat was significantly tougher than in the first dungeon. When I ventured out in the wilderness the only thing I remember was random monster encounters, that were extremely difficult and not much more. I gave up on the game after about a week. Maybe I missed something however. A lot of people seem to love this game. I was not an RPG newbie at the time. I had already completed Might & Magic 2,3, Xeen, and 7. I had also finished Daggerfall, Diablo, Baldur's Gate and I had nearly finished Anvil of Dawn. This game however just felt over monotonous. But like I said eairlier maybe I missed something. I might be willing to give this game another try if the price was right. If in the future you offer it for say 60 or 70% off the current price, then I might give it another go.

Anvil of Dawn

Good Memories

I've been waiting for this game to appear on GOG. I used to run this game on a Pentium 75. I made it all the way to the lair of the giant Ice Worm and got stuck. So close to the ending! I liked the puzzles, they made you use your brain a little. That is something seriously lacking in today's RPG's. My favorite part of the were game "The Clansmen". I originally paid $39.99 for this game when it came out and got many hours of great gameplay from it. This game is toally worth the $5.99 asking price.

Inquisitor

I cannot get the game to work. I get the message out of range. If I could get it to work, I would probably rate this game higher, but seeing as how I wasted $14.99 for something that is just taking up hard drive space, I can give this no more than 1 star.

RETURN TO ENROTH

I bought this game when it first came out back in 98. I wasted many hours in the lanf of Enroth back then, and thanks to GOG, I'm wasting time in the land of Enroth today.
