Well, I have not tried Doom 1 yet, but I have downloaded both Duke 3D, Shadow Warrior and Redneck rampage, and I must say that this game is the one I want to play over and over again. Nothing bad about the others, but this game is amazing. It is the best designed one of the lot, the feel is spot on, the controls are smoother then a babies bum, and you never question what you are supposed to be doing. If you wonder which one of these games to pick up, I highly advice you to buy this one, because it is a glorious game, full of challenges, puzzles and a great soundtrack. Even if it is not on sale buy this one, because I'd feel that I got more than my moneys worth with Blood, almost to the point that I feel ashamed to pay so little for something so breathtaking. There is only one problem I have, and that is you can get yourself killed by standing between the wall and a door that opens, you get squished. But seriously, that's it. But remember, if you are a parent and want to buy a game for your child, look somewhere else, this is for mature audiences only. This game gets on my FPS scale 89% out of 100%. A solid buy. Age rating: 15+, or 18+ if you care about swearing.
