I absolutely adored the old Theme Hospital (I have no idea how many play-throughs I did over the years). Two Point Hospital is good, but for me, something is missing. It's a much bigger game than Theme Hospital but I don't feel the same addiction and drive to progress to the next level. It's still a fun game, but I'm glad I didn't pay ful price - I'd have felt disappointed.
It's a fun game if you enjoy city builders. The only thing that's missing for me is a campaign mode. There are a few 'scenarios' but all they do is add more rules and restrictions to the basic game. (I haven't had any problems with the shipping AI as other people have said. I don't know if there's been an update, but mine works fine on auto between islands and between planets)
It wouldn't install through Galaxy at all but it worked using the offline download. It then asked for a serial key when I tried to start a game so I went to 'manage installation' --> 'verify / repair' and now it's working fine. I have to say that I prefered the fixed walkways (and the cute donkey helpers) of the older games. It's not as addictive as Settlers 2, but it's still fun to play.
The game is visually pleasing. I like the setting and the story, but the controls are driving me nuts. It's a point-and-click adventure that isn't point-and-click. The WASD with the left shift run is so annoying. I'd much rather just click where I want him to go. Not sure if I'll play to the end. Would be nice to have the option to change conrols to old school point-and-click for us stuck-in-our-ways oldies.
