My first computer game was Microsoft Adventure, and I've played most of the Infocom games. Taking a crude text adventure and rendering it in high resolution is torturous, especially when it types out messages very slowly, and most often that message is "sorry, I don't know what you want me to do ". The parser is very crude, and you just have to know to look around if you want any sort of room description. I ended up using a walkthrough so I wouldn't have to spend a moment longer than I had to to get to the gimmick, which turned out to be changes in the graphics, but at that point I was too aggravated with the horrible parser and slow responses to appreciate what the author was trying to do. I have no interest in finding out if the other chapters are any good.
