S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl - Standard Edition

A pretty awesome Stalker experience so

Played through prologue, first side mission (involving some stealth kills and running gun battle) and go to the bar. The graphics (does have typical UE5 issues) are great and really helps sell the atmopshere of the zone. The sound is awesome as well. Gun play feels nice and I've definetly already got jump-scared several times by dogs and mutants. I enjoyed the original Stalker and clear sky so many years ago. I remember almost giving up on those back in the day because my heart just couldn't handle so many jumpscares. Stalker 2 is a great follow-up for sure. It has the world, feel, the jankiness of the original but with modern technology. Hopefully they will be able to work out bugs and slight performance issues (even though I haven't ran into any yet). I can definetly see putting many...many hours into this game. i9-13900K 4090RTX 32 GB

Pretty awesome so far

Played past the prologue, finished first side quest (several stealth kills and a running gun battle with a pistol) and now in the first town. So far it's awesome. I played Stalker 1 many years ago and had fond memories. This game definetly has the same vibes except with modern day graphics/tech. Read some online reviews about bugs and jank- really haven't had any issues yet. But of course, it's only been 5 hours or so. I do have a 4090, so performance is pretty good. Definetly a game I can sink many hours playing. It's challenging for sure, that's always the way of Stalker games.
