While it might seem tempting and even logical to dismiss this with the existence of G2HD it's something I would highly advise against. G2HD replaces a lot of the original assets with ugly, bilinear filtered smeary textures that make UI elements, field texture, etc pretty ugly. G2HD also doesn't really fix any of the issues that are in this port. So I would personally recommend this version of the game. Mods might be scarce - but at least there's a mod for the UI that replaces things with higher res elements that aren't fugly upscales.
