the emulator doesn't let you change the control scheme, and it outright lies to you about what buttons do what functions, the game says Q W X and C are your controls, but when you get into an actual match (whether you're using a joystick with keyboard mappings or your actual keyboard) you'll find INSTANTLY that those controls are not true. A is weak kick, Z is weak punch, X is heavy kick, and C is heavy punch. I don't know how ANYONE was expected EVER play this with a keyboard. There is also delay on input, nothing too terrible, until you remember that this series is SNK and SNK LOVES to make their Ai ridiculously hard, so having a delay means you need to think 4 steps ahead. TLDR; Don't buy it here unless you are OK troubleshooting some annoying controller layout things

An Id 3 engine shooter, that takes the well meaning and poorly executed world of Voyager and turns it into a story that's compelling and enjoyable. The FPS gameplay is on point but that's to be expected from the legends at Raven in their hay day, but being able to meld the fun and impecable combat with a Star Trek Liscense (which is extremely hard to do with gameplay that actually MATCHES star trek let alone an action oriented shooter) is VERY impressive! I'm a huge Star Trek fan and this game delivers on a fan service front for sure, but even if you know NOTHING about Star Trek, I think you'd find this game worth the experience. TLDR: if you like FPS games with tight well pollished gameplay, and you like fun space adventure stories BUY THIS GAME!

an interesting game. the controls are really difficult to wrap my head around, seeing as my only experience with classic shooters of this ilk has always come with the ability to mouse look AND strafe at the same time. I think the atmosphere, music, look, and general feel is really nice but I hope that the re-release version (if it's actually on it's way) will be much more my speed. Definitely a good game but I need pacience to sit down and play this one.
