If you're a fan of the Donkey Kong Country games, you'll love this game. Levels are very fun in general, full of secrets (almost to a fault) and the controls are very nice. The artstyle is cute, and the music is excellent. It puts the official new DKC games to shame with its level variety and even the amount of content present in the game without it ever feeling like it drags on too much. Every bonus room is unique too like the classic games and most are pretty fun. Don't let the cute artstyle fool you, this game will become challenging pretty quickly, with secret world levels reaching to Celeste levels of difficulty. There are some accessibility features to help at least. The only drawbacks for me is that there's a fair bit of camera issues in the game, especially if you want to backtrack for a coin or something. It's a bit annoying how there's no overworld map either, you'd need to travel a long distance to get to a specific level to get an item you missed. Speaking of, records (for music tracks) and minigame cartridges aren't displayed on level progress, so you cannot use the in-game hints to find those. Besides maybe the camera, those are relatively nitpicks. It's all around a great game.
