Running windows 10 64bit. Game doesn't run. Has issues running in full screen, will run in 640x480 if you force it into a window. But is buggy and unstable. It was a great game, despite them locking MP down with 3rd party DRM. But the games not been updated, and i am shocked they are still selling it when it doesn't work. Either fix it, or delist it. This is Good old games, not broken old games.

The version runs nice, but falls short of being a modern remaster. Source ports like Zandronum and GZdoom give a much nicer feeling to the game, not having full mouse aim like you have in the source ports after having it for so long now just feels like a step back. Its fine if you want a classic option but not having an option to get modern aiming was a miss. Its nice having all the extra scenarios but for a product being sold as a modern remaster, its just not it for me. Ill be going back to playing Doom WADS run through Doom explorer, gives me multiplayer options too, so this offering doesnt have something i dont already have.

Below all the bugs. And there are many. There is a fantastic game here. My first play through, lasted about 45hrs. And i did most of the sidequests that are given to you. There where world missions and events i could do also but looks like 35-40hrs is going to be the fair standard for completing the core game and side content. The game promised much and we got about 70% of it, and much is still undercooked. The game needed months more of polish, but unfortunately corporate pushed it early, funny considering the message of the game, CDP SA is acting pretty corpo here. I did not come across any game breaking bugs, or crash bugs, and on my modest hardware runs well. But its the little UI glitches and stuff floating, and animations bugging and vehicle pop in and out and how little life is in the amazing city they built. Hopefully it all shapes up during 2021 to what we should have gotten now. And the MP and DLC really deliver on the hype. For the record my setup is 1080p. 15 7600k 1070 16gb hyperX ram WD black HDD. Windows 10.

if you are on a low end machine, double the minimum to run this game and then you can play it on maybe 30fps on min-mid settings. the game is very GPU heavy, needing a min 2xMSAA to run that cannot be turned lower, shaders cannot be turned off. the game also has a shocking motion blur "feature" i recommend adding "-noblur" to the launch command line in the shortcut. this all said, if you can get this game to run, then you will have a great tense thriller that plays out like a TV show with episodes and even a tv like "last seen on alan wake" segment after leaving play then coming back on another day. when you get over the strange play camera angle you have a good solid combat system reminiscent of resident evil. if you are after a freaky survial horror game this is not that type of game, its more of a creepy suspenseful thriller, the game does a great job telling the story and pacing the game. if you like resi evil style games and or love thriller type games give this one a go.

The title spellforce is a RTS/RPG blend it has elements of both but doesn't do either any better then good. the RPG elements, you have a generic RPG set up and thats not bad, you have leveling and character progression, but the way you cast spells is a bit cumbersome and the interface to build your character is a big annoying but forgivable. the RTS element is ok, you build building and an army but where you can place buildings is frustrating you run out of room quickly and the issues of this become apparent in the tutorial, unit AI is kinda dumb even for this era of RTS the mechanics are primative and feel beta. and my least favorite part is the speed to game moves at, its slow, units move painfully slow and you will spend most of your time waiting for units to move about. all the issues will become apparent in the tutorial. play the tutorial and you will know all the bad for the game. but with all the issues the game is still very playable. and you can have a lot of fun playing it.
