Super fun game almost everything is destructible, and the supernatural abilities create tons of room for creativity. Overall, it's an atmospheric psychological thriller with great control schemes, music, graphics, and gunplay. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys action-adventure games with weird twists and turns.

This game might have pioneered the stealth genre, considering its age. But boy, does it do a better job than most games today! I'll be honest, I originally wanted to buy the latest installment, but someone online recommended that I start with the original. And I’m glad I did, what truly blows me away is how well the AI is coded in this game. Granted, there might be a few instances where it feels a bit dumb, but for the most part, it’s vastly superior to many modern games I’ve played. The enemies patrol, investigate, and even trigger alarms when necessary, making the game feel ahead of its time. The overall gritty, Gothic aesthetic completely sucks you in. The lighting mechanics, whether your character, Garrett, is visible to guards or how much you can see, makes perfect sense and add to the immersion. I should also mention the killer music score, which perfectly complements the theme of the game. As for the graphics, even though it’s an old game, as a gamer who values gameplay over graphics, I can say I absolutely dig the art direction the developers went with. At first, it took some getting used to, but that didn’t stop me from appreciating this masterpiece that I can’t wait to play the sequel which I heard improves upon a lot of things. I highly recommend buying this especially if you can buy as a bundle or a GOG discount code as in my case I bought both Thief Gold and Thief 2: The Metal Age.

This is one of those rare gems that somehow manages to slip under the radar. If you enjoy roguelikes, platformers, or both then look no further. What really sets this game apart isn’t just its graphics and setting but its unique currency system. Essentially, you trade HP for upgrades and items. There are also artifacts that you can permanently unlock per run using a different currency. Additionally, some upgrades are tied to your home base, requiring yet another currency. As you populate your base with more characters or souls found in each run, you gain additional bonuses. Overall, it’s a great game with a unique art style, fun gameplay, and solid music.

This game is the epitome of fun. With its tight controls, gorgeous graphics that still hold up today, a plethora of enemy types, and a variety of weapons with unique mods, it delivers an exceptional experience. On top of that, it's a cinematic adventure with a gripping story and an intriguing setting. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys old-school shooting games—it's a darn good time! :D

Awesome game on all levels highly recommend!

As someone who played ton of topdown shooters this is easily one of the best next to Synthetik an another roguelike shooter. Having said that I am really new to the bullet hell genre hence, been playing the tactical shooter I wanted something different. Therefore, this game caught my eye and I have to say although the game is hard but it's also super fun. With interesting choice for art design and game mechanics with unique characters, that you get right off the bat. The game has loads of content with a wide range of weapons some being silly like the shell that shoots shotguns that shoot shells and a bullet that shoots pistols that shoot bullets, yes you read that right that's not all it even has a t-shirt canon I mean how cool is that! So if you like what you see by all means buy it and have fun!

This game is incredibly underrated. It's pretty obvious that the developers put a lot of work and love into it. I'll make it simple: if you like John Wick, Max Payne, or action movies in general, look no further. This game will definitely scratch that itch. Everything about it is great—the music, the gunplay, the mechanics—and did I mention it's super fun?
