Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project

Fun for a few hours, nothing noteworthy

I actually bought this game when it came out 7 years ago (interestingly enough thinking "Well Duke Nukem Forever is almost out, this will tide me over until then!"), and since I consider myself to be a pretty die hard Duke Nukem fan even if it wasn't a AAA blockbuster title it'd still be fun. The game is not a bad time waster, and if you enjoyed Duke Nukum and Duke Nukem 2, you'll probably like it, but there's really nothing special that makes it stand out. After a few levels the novelty value of Duke's one liners wears off, and we're left with a very mediocre platformer. Pros: Graphics are pretty decent, even today. Duke's one liners are pretty amusing. There's several references to the original Duke platformers hidden throughout the game. Cons: Repetitive levels, controls are kind of "mushy", for lack of a better term.
