Rome: Total War - Collection

One of my fauvorites, but needs fixing

Im so glad to see original total war being sold again after being delisted for "remastered version". The gog team did a great job making the game run on win 10/11, but that being said the performance is really bad at the moment, hopefully it can be adressed with some patches. You will be lucky to get 30 fps in battles sometimes droping even into 20fps I would recommend people try using DXVK. It doubled my performance and made the experience much more enjoyable. -Download and open the latest tarball release of DXVK with a program like 7-Zip. -Extract d3d8.dll and d3d9.dll from x32 to where RomeTW.exe is located. -If the game crashes, such as while loading a battle, ensure the latest vulkan runtime is installed. The installed version can be verified by opening cmd.exe and running the command vulkaninfo --summary. This is a guide from PC Wiki. Hopefully it helps some of you folks.

Rome: Total War

It needs some work

Im so glad to see original rome total war back after that atrotius remaster. The gog team did a good job making the game run at win 10/11 but that being said the experience is not good at the moment. The game runns very poorly, you will be lucky to have even 30fps in battles. There is a way to improve it so to anyone reading this or considering buying it i would recommend you use DXVK. It doubled my fps and make the experience much more enjoyable, hopefully we do get some patches in the future that adress the game's performance.
