I love this game! (Just like I loved their previous game, FTL.) Graphics is minimalist. Game is simple, only a few screens, that's all. And it's great! The idea behind it is one of the best ever! This is one of the very few strategy games where you really really have to plan your attacks - every single move, every single action. Be warned: it's not easy. Play in Easy mode for start. Then, once you got the feel of it, try it in Normal mode for a real challenge. Good luck! (You'll need it :-))

FTL is probably one of the simplest game ever. Basically you have three game screens: the ship screen, the improvements screen, and the jump/galaxy screen. That's it. But believe me, that's all you need to play for hours and hours and hours. The basic idea is brilliant, and the gameplay is very addictive ("just one more jump", "just one more battle", "just one more improvement" :-)). There are a few things though - be prepared: the "easy" setting is actually rather normal or even hard, while "normal" is very hard. Also, the final cluster always VERY tough as you have to defeat the rebel mothership more than once (and it is a big thing to defeat it once! to defeat it three times is a very serious challange). Also watch out for the random events - a lot depends on chance/luck so even if you follow the same route and improvements route, no two play through will ever be the same. A definite must-have game. 5 stars. (And a very good news for laptop players: it runs even on old Intel GMA4500M chipset laptops)
This is an excellent game based on a novelty idea. You have to discover a huge cave system on Mars and the lifeforms that inhabit it. You can actually grow most of those plants (animals?) by obtaining and planting their seeds. It is very easy to learn to play and control the game and the gameplay is excellent. Up until the very end, as in the last hour or so it turns a bit chaotic (too many lifeforms interacting with each others to many different ways). But despite of this it would still deserve five stars if it wasn't for the very poor voice acting of your character. The guy sounds like as if he just read everything he say from a book. (The girl is okay.) Definitely worths a try. And works perfect even on entry level / Intel video chipset laptops as well.

A cute and brilliant puzzle solver game with a unique graphics design. It has a lovely cartoonish atmosphere. There are many puzzles the solve, and some of them are not easy at all! It is very addictive as the gameplay is excellent. The only problem is that the game is slightly short, it takes about 6-12 hours to complete, depending on how quickly you find the solutions. But it still quite worths the money if you like this kind of game!

A very nice and addictive action rpg game. It is similar to Sacred Gold or the first two Diablo installments, but with (much) better story. You kill enemies (by weapon or magic), collect weapons, shields, potions etc., solve quests, level up, learn skills, abilities and spells and so on. The usual stuff you would expect from such a game, but the story and the gameplay is far better than the average. The quests are excellent too. That is, for the first 3/4 of the game. It seems as if the developers ran out of ideas (or time) towards the last quarter of the game. You get huge dull areas, later maze-like dungeons, full with annoying enemies that you have to defeat (or do a little trick to skip most of them, but I don't want to include any spoiler), with no real quests anymore. The brilliant gameplay of the first approx 3/4 of the game gets (in my view) boring as it turns into just mindless killing. But I still highly recommend the game for that first 3/4 part (which easily takes 30-40 or even 50 hours to complete). And it runs full screen fast and smooth even on my old Celeron laptop that has Intel GMA4500M video chipset. If you like this kind of game, definitely give it a try.
This game is quite different from mainstream adventure/rpg games. First, it is cute, cartoonish, and brilliantly colorful. Second, the quest (or rather, puzzles) are just the right in terms of difficulty and complexity - you (probably) can solve them all, but you will need to use your brain to do so. Third, it is one of the most humorous games I ever played. Fourth, the story is excellent. Fifth, the gameplay is brilliant (and addictive). Sixth, it is surprisingly (in the positive meaning) violence-free, which is cool in the ocean of "kill-all-the-25562-foes-along-the-way"-type games. Seventh, it is so easy to learn to play it: handling is so simple, no manual or tutorial is needed. Eight, you don't need a powerhouse PC to run it (even in full HD) - even a midrange laptop will run it nicely. It is what it says: a (fairy)tale, where you play the main heroes. Highly recommended, a must have! Brilliant!
