In Sound Mind

Addictively nice game

This sound is one of the few games I have played in the last year that I really had to play through. It keeps the maintains the suspense/tension from start to finish with some jump scares at just the right moment. This game combines a very interesting story, you being a psychiatrist diving into the mind of your patients, with good puzzles in a wonderful level design.

Trail Out: Complete Edition

Nice game with a few minor bugs

I wanted a racing game with supports split screen, so decided to try TrailOut. It is an arcade style racing game which I play with 2 Xbox controllers connected to my PC. The UI has some issues with Xbox-controller, so I need to use my mouse quite regularly to control the UI. Because it only effects the UI for selection (so not while driving) I considered this an annoying but minor bug. Overall I really enjoy playing this game offering lots of different racing variants, from demolition derby to cart races (knocking each other over the head with a bat), from off-road racing to city racing.

Serious Sam 4

Serious Sam the modern way

This game feels like the good old Serious Sam games, but according to the modern graphic standards. The shootouts where pretty challenging (playing in 'hard' mode), with lots of enemies in large open spaces, and made me feel like the good old Serious Sam game I used to play long time ago. At 'hard' difficulty mode the balance between being quite challenging and becoming frustratingly difficult really works for me. There is even some kind of story added to the game that doesn't add that much, but also isn't a big distraction from what Serious Sam is about; shooting at a huge amount of monsters. At my PC it runs like a charm, without any lag or stuttering.
