While the core fundamentals are similar to the GTA series, Sleeping Dogs has 2 key changes: First, you're an infiltrated cop. You're not a gangster (even though you'll act like one) and to me, that was a much better fit. Second, weapon-less fighting is great. In GTA, brawls suck and you just mash one button. Here, there's combos, dodge, block, it feels like real fights, you can even use some props to knockout bad guys. The atmosphere is really well done and you'll feel like you're in a HK movie like Infernal Affairs, Election, etc. Overall, a really fun game with good story and much better than any GTA.

I have this game on Steam and i must say i was very impressed with how good and polished it is considering the very low price at which i got it. Of course, it had been in Early Access and then released for several years before i picked it up so they had time to improve it but the current game is incredible. If you enjoy cyberpunk worlds and most of all, good turn based dungeon crawlers, go for it, it's definitely worth it!
