Great story-driven FPS with stealth and survival elements. This game continues first Metro's story while improving and expanding on everything done well in Metro 2035. There are some glitches and a few bugs, but nothing too much noticeable or game breaking. Worst I had, was to restart one chapter, after autosave stuck on the crash to the desktop. I can wholly recommend this game for the fans of the first part!!
Just finished a game on Survival Ranger Hardcore (hardest possible setting). Make no mistake, this is not your typical FPS, though on the easy settings it could be played as one. Graphics are good even in 2018. The game runs smoothly on win 10. No major bugs or glitches. Post-apocalyptic life in the metro tunnels is not supposed to be cheerful or easy, and this game attempts to portray that by creating a scarcity of supplies, thus forcing you to think and act as a survivor. Lack of air filters for a gas mask, shortage of ammunition, hard-hitting enemies can be frustrating at times, and even forced me to replay few chapters a couple of times, BUT at the same time, it made the game so much more immersive and enjoyable. Its dark and can be overwhelming when you find yourself gasping for fresh air, looking for that one air filter in the wreckage of demolished Moscow, to give you a few extra minutes so you can find few more shotgun shells to blast your way through the next enemy swarm...or just sneak past them. Feels awesome than you master the game and is not so hard as many people, here in reviews, are conveying. So please, stop downranking the game if you suck at it or its simply not your type. P.S: that is precisely why so many games have been dumbed down during the years so fragile snowflakes could get their participation trophies in every game they touch (a bonus mini rant).
