This game is about the journey, not the destination. It's about exploring, building, trading, surviving, and so much more. It can seem a bit overwhelming at first but after a couple hours you will be star jumping with the best of them. I started playing in late 2016 with the Foundations release. I never knew this game existed until then so I started with no preconceived ideas and I fell in love with it right away. It has just gotten better since then. I play on PS4, PS5, Windows X-Box, Steam, Nintendo and now GOG. I have logged more than 7,000 hours during those 8 years! There have been minor issues over that time and Hello games has alwas listened to the players and issued updates ASAP. Those devs also love this game and pour their whole heart into it. The game has absolutely stunning vistas and great exploration aspects. You can spend hours lost in the beauty of it. It's near impossible to not get distracted with all the activities that are available to do. And NO micro-transactions. You buy the game once and every update that was ever released for it is absolutely free. All 35 of them plus patches and content updates. All the special perks in the game are earned through game play only. The game's difficulty is completely customizable so it's playable for everyone and the community has been one of the best in the gaming industry. One tip I have for new players is follow the tutorial (aprox 1 hour) in the lower right hand corner of the screen. Read it and do everything it says including when it says to press the mouse button to continue (please do that). It will make the rest of your journey so much more enjoyable. Oh, and don't go too deep into caves until you have the terrain manipulator. Or go right ahead if you don't mind the possibility of getting lost.
