I don't play a lot of platformers, but this game was definitely an exception. It's really fun to play. The dialogue keep you invested in the story and the main quest; the puzzles are quite difficult sometimes, but they're really clever. The secrets are well hidden, but if you take your time and look in every corner, you'll definitely find them. The game play is also really really fun. All the upgrades keep you grinding a bit to get them, but once you get them, you're almost unstoppable, and the items help you deal a lot more damage to your foes.
This game is fun to play: the story is good enough to make me want to see what happens next, the game mechanics are cool (there is some cool combo that you can do and the way to regain health is original but also obvious since the main protagonist is a vampire) and the dialogue is amusing at times (that French accent at the start kinda got me, it's not too bad to be honest). The only thing with this game are that the gameplay can get repetitive sometimes. But it's a good experience nonetheless.
This game has everything. An excellent story, perfect environment, and a tone of things to do differently than the others. Yakuza Kiwami is an absolute blast from end to finish. Even if you finish the game, you still can do a lot of things. From side quest to amusing mini games, you'll never get bored in this game. The fighting parts are probably one of the greatest things in this game. All the possible combo possible when you switch between the fighting style keep the game entertaining for each fight. Also, the Majima encounters are as funny as they can possibly be.
