I've played a lot of adventures games over the years and Syberia is easily my favorite - I love the atmosphere, the characters, the wonderfully evocative settings which are highlighted by the superlative music and the puzzles. Yes, technically it's a bit 'clunky' in places but so what? It's 17 years old. As an adventure game it really works incredibly well. An easy 5 stars from me.
It never ceases to amaze me just how creative Rem Michalski is - he really knows how to make the player connect to the characters and situations in his games, particularly so in The Cat Lady and Lorelai. I'm not really sure how much I should say about Lorelai as I'm wary of giving any spoilers, suffice to say that this game deserves to be a huge success - I'd shower it with awards if I could. Just buy it.
