Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition

Fantastic! Ultimate Edition

It plays like mix of "Ghost In The Shell" and "Bladerunner". Is there anything more to say? YES! For Nividia Gpu owners 20xx30xx: we can have framegeneration with dlss now, thanks to a program on nexus called dlssg-to-fsr!!!!!!!!! you now have the in-game option to choose dlssg (swapped fsr) - with superior dlss. With everything ultra /Rt on /Rt Reflections /Rt light medium it runs at steady 80fps. Best purchase of the last 4 years or so. The game keeps the dark atmosphere and nihilistic undertone. Phantom Liberty is woven into the maingame so neatly - well, truly a game for people not teens - and the better for it (perhaps that may change or that the repitition virus will kick in later on - still in early game). If you are even only slightly into scify look no further! It is a truly magnificent experience.

All Good - but

I start to get really pissed off by GOG. The game is great and exactly the simple trading game to catapult me back to childhood "hanse". Nice. But the widescreen fixes do not work, because GOG´s version does not create "P2setup.exe" - so you can´t run it in order to run the patched version. A user here created a another one - will try that, but I see myself editing the HEX. Back to the "pissing me off": the backup installers are the one and only thing that sets GOG apart - how often do I have to download multiple times parts? You might assume, once you have them verified and the game running, you have working BACKUP files stored on your drive - NOPE; try to re-install and you face the same process again. Then the renaming of files and versions (TW3 - why would anyone want a "complete" edition - just keep it GOTY and add the patch ffs - ah yes, it is easier to hide your crap galaxy inside this trash) Then the weird glitches on this very page and that godawful Galaxy.... So, probably editing hex for a 20 year old game because gog likes to "update" core files - always bought on gog if possible, but i am very close to stop that

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

On Top Of The Best Games I Ever Played

The_Witcher_3 /TextureMipBias /CascadeShadowDistanceScale /v 1.32 For a second playthrough I based my modifications on: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-graphics-performance-and-tweaking-guide/ I changed the following with significant improvement on image detail, depth and color/light: TextureMipMap from -0.5 > -0.7 CascadeShadowDistanceScale0 from 1.5 > 4 CascadeShadowDistanceScale2 from 1.5 > 3 CascadeShadowDistanceScale1 from 1 > 2 CascadeShadowQuality from 1 > 4 CascadeShadowMapsize from 2048 > 3072 TextureMemoryBudget from ? > 3072 Mods that I use without merging conflicts: AlwaysFullExp AutoApplyOilsMenu CheapDyesEverywhere FriendlyHUD HDMonstersReworked HDReworkedProject HDReworkedProject2 HDReworkedProject3 HDReworkedProject4 InstantTooltips ItemLevelsNormalized MapQuestObjectives Monsterpack NoScreenFX Over9000 PerksAlwaysActive PetkoWind UnlimitedDurability total cost: 10 to 15 fps if I had a decent motherboard/CPU/Ram: enable xmp=back to 65/70 fps :P > add foliage tweaks and up value of CascadeShadowDistanceScale 1 and 2, CascadeShadowMapSize to 4096 do not forget to check/recalibrate system gamma and enable in-game > preserve system gamma System: Gtx 1060 6gb OC i5 6500 16gb RAM (2133) I made a small video to show the stuff in motion XD: https://youtu.be/KOv3YRoKVuQ (content is without altered CascadeShadowDistanceScale1 from 1 > 2 CascadeShadowQuality from 1 > 4 - with it, man, what can I say, try it)

Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition

True Medieval Experience

I was suspicious about 1st person sword combat - no problems there. But the world, the atmosphere, story, characters: it is an excellent adventure with fantastic alchemy mechanics and detective story elements in magnificently detailed rendered bohemia. If you haven´t played it, there is simply no better game out there below 10$

Early Access

I wish at least GOG would stop this early access crap wander in. I did not play the game - and I will not. I see to it that I purchase any good game here - there are not that many anyway - but early access is the other side of that life-support games coin - utter garbage 90%. It´s like letting media-designers taking over jobs of artists...

The Outer Worlds

quite nice - but stutter

hi, haven´t played much, yet but: it pretty much is what i expected, the guns feel nice (rpg-nice - but nicer), the world is cool and i tend to want to go smehwere further then my objectives/quests. controls are good, hud is okay. Visually it is very pleasing if you like comics by Vatine/Robertson with a good dose of "firefly" campiness. the stutter: f+++ horrible. the things that helped me: 1) fullscreen 2) cap to 60 fps 3) disable fullscreen optimization (win 10) - go to "/path/.exe" - properties - compatibilty - disable fullscreen optimizations - change high DPI settings - override high DPI scaling behaviour (application) 4) turn off game mode 5) well, of course set priority... now i only get occasional stutter - absolutely playable. testet arround city and vale. gtx 1060 oc high/ultra at 1080p

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

So good - so flawed

It is a fantastic RPG. Bought it a few days ago in my search for getting really immersed and it is absolutely worth it. But there are sooooo many flaws: 1) that crappy UI (e/f/esc/tab/cursor) hold, press once 2) hateful inventory (almost of course nowadays) 3) spawning NPC´s/quests is really messed up 4) the lock on... 5) main quest vs side quest progression - because most of the side quests early on i thought i should/could solve them - wrong - follow main quest at least until camp...(would be at least 20 hrs less - and the lock on....i had 5 very unenjoyable encounters, after that: pretty much all unenjoyable because of overpowered - and learned the mechanics certainly :)) This is major shitwork!!!! But so are the rest of things that give you an incredible game. I feel sad for it, because i think that the studio will not improve of things, but squeeze shit out of new equipment only for fancy looking graphics (as most other devs do...) but will not adress for what we really want: A CAMPAIGN THAT LASTS 1000 hours to finish, at least - hold your word and give us some realism here XD, ah, and two handed axes :D

Metro Exodus - Gold Edition

hoped to enjoy it more!

got the bundle on sale - can´t do any wrong with that. for the many people having issues with sound stutter or video lag (started heavily midgame for me/exodus): DX11 solved the problems completely with everything turned off apart of tesselation and shaders. The shooting is fine, but i found the characters to be rather flat, the story pretty meh and they make u suffer through it via long diaologues/cut-scenes that u cant skip = supposedly beeing immersive, sigh. at least it is a solid solo-campaign (throughout all 3 entries) without that online cheaterscum and therefore i had a few good hours with it.

Metro Franchise Bundle

Great

I am not really much of a fps player, but years ago (13?), I started 2033 and I really liked the atmosphere, but did not finish. When I saw this bundle, here! - grabbed it, installed it and started playing. What a relieve! Simple menus, structured, engaging story, good mechanics, good AI and not so goddamn overloaded - have not played Last Light or Exodus, yet :D This might become my second favorite series (ME holds 1st place, but who knows...). The only thing that was at first irritating was the gun-feel, like there is no punch - but miraculously even this faded far into the background because of all the other very positive elements just an hour into the game - and I am still talking 2033 Redux here, basically a game of 2010! So, for 10$ all 3 games with DLC is not simply a steal, it is a must buy/try. I am very grateful and very pleased. Thank You GOG

Control Ultimate Edition

Buy it!

Just saw it here - on sale - and bought it immediately :D! an hour in and everything works like a charm (1060, i5 6500 - used gxperience optimizing, which does exactly what most people wrote a few years back to optimize settings, automatic render resolution at 1600x900 which you don´t find in the in-game settings - everything else is then medium+high). Really wasn´t sure which to use, kbm or controller - but since it´s a lot of running i tried controller with simple aim assist and sticky (the latter i might switch off) - which seem to work fine - well, it´s from a studio that created max payne! I actually took my time to read the letters and watch the tapes: very compelling weirdness. If you just want a shooter, you are probably better off with doom ;) - but the immersion, the atmosphere and the controls, all of it really works fine for me. 10$ well spent - THX GOG
