If you're experiencing any of these problems:
- the game doesn't launch,
- the game runs slowly,
- there are visible visual problems (artifacts),
you should try different settings of the "Graphics mode setup" application, found in the game's Start Menu group, under Start -> All Programs -> GOG.com,.
If you're experiencing stuttering sound problems please find the dosbox configuration file found in the game's main folder. This file has an .conf extension and a name related to the game's title and shouldn't have a suffix (like _client, _server or _setup).
For example Heroes of Might and Magic 2, by default, would have it located in C:GOG.comHeroes of Might and Magic 2 GOLD and its name would be dosboxhomm2.conf). Open that file with any text editor (like Notepad) and find the line prebuffer=10 in the [mixer] section. Change the value of this setting from 10 to 100 or higher. Make sure to save the file after you change this setting.
