Darkness is relentless. The Fire is your only hope. Protect it… or be consumed.

You are a Guardian, a lone wanderer carrying the last embers of a dying world. With only your wits, your weapons, and your loyal hound by your side, you must journey through the darkness, reigniting lost flames and pushing back the horrors that lurk within.

 

Your camp is your last line of defense. Craft ammunition, refine resources, and expand your camp to strengthen your defenses. Manage your workers by assigning them to hunt, scavenge, or guard. Unlock merchants to buy new skills and traps, or use the watchtower for intel on the approaching waves. Prepare wisely - the night will test your every choice.

 

When night falls, they come. Hordes of relentless creatures, drawn to the light of your fire, rushing in from all sides. Armed with an arsenal of unique weapons, you must hold the line. Modify your guns, unlock perks, unleash devastating abilities, because if the fire dies… so do you.

 

Each battle is a lesson, each defeat a step forward. Return to your hub between each level where you can permanently unlock new weapons, active and passive skills, structures, and even teach abilities to your dog!

 

Venture into the unknown, scavenging forgotten lands for resources in a variety of environments. Every expedition demands careful preparation - weapon selection and ammunition supplies play a crucial role in determining whether you'll succeed or fail... Above all, time is your most precious resource. Make sure to return to camp before nightfall, or risk having to rebuild the ashes that are left.

 

The flame is more than fire, it’s hope, strength, and survival itself. Protect it with everything you have and defy the darkness that seeks to consume it.

A well made Kingdom like game

This game is very much alike the Kingdom games, 2D game where you have a base and some sort of resources to hire people, create and upgrade structures, and so much more. The main role is to progress by collecting resources, exploring the various island and defending your base each night. This one has you with a more active role, most of the fighting is made by you, equipping several fire arms like revolvers or grenade launchers. The game have a clearer path, instructing you what to do better than the Kingdom game, which was more about discovery it by trial and error, and also has some QoL improvements. The setting and start seems quite strong to me, good type of game, good idea, however, towards the ending seems a bit too much repetitive to me and feels like could be upgraded with some features and bosses. I don't know If I missed something, but in the start of the game it seemed like there was some things in the land you could interact with and get upgrades or changing things, but after a while, they stop appearing and it could be great if the last levels had some more things that you could interact with. The lenght of fights and some other minor things (like farming for crystals) seems that could get improved too. Regardless of that, I had a great time playing it and think it deserves a 5 star, hope they had some success to keep improving the game and even made some DLC.

I really liked Kingdom and this is a really good evolution with progress system more clear and improvements
