Easily BEST Alien game ever! Great Game!

Just an absolutely awesome game! Leans heavily on stealth; it is definitely not a "run and gun" type game. But that is exactly what you would expect from an Alien game, right? And this game delivers in spades! The space station is expansive and you get to explore a wide variety of areas. Some levels feature the alien while others feature androids. And sometimes fellow humans give you grief! It all adds up to a lot of gaming and a lot of variety. It is Very Scary! I have played a lot of games but never one that gave me such frightening moments as this one. The story is so good and everything in the game makes perfect sense! You never get the feeling that you are just completing tasks & quests; everything is logically moving along toward the final outcome. And speaking of outcome...I hope this game is so successful at GOG that the developer gets interested again and decides to produce a sequel! I have owned it for years from Steam and the moment it came to GOG I bought it again! TL:DR - If you enjoy stealth and the Alien story and horror...you will LOVE this game!

IGN SUCKS!!! 🤣 If you're looking for a FPS based on the exploits of the Colonial Marines, this ain't it. This game is a survival horror masterpiece. You'll be sneaking around, trying not to shit your pants as you're stalked by a Xenomorph who's out to kill you. You'll run into civilians, NPCs, synthetics and other hazards along the way. The atmosphere is first rate, and although the game is 10 years old, it holds up well in 2024. No other game captures the essence of the first Alien movie like this one. When that Xenomorph spots you, you'll wish you were dead, and you probably soon will be. Plenty of excellent DLCs are included in this version too, adding hours of additional gameplay. One even let's you play as the original crew members on the Nostromo. This is a AAA+ title that is a 10/10 in my book.

Keep your spare pants ready

Alien: Isolation is in my opinion the best Horror game that was ever created. It's quite lenghty (14-20 hours, depending on how "brave" you are and the difficulty you choose) Also it's stuffed to the brim with small details everywhere. Any "Alien (1)" fan with a taste for Horrorgames should give this game a chance. Beware though, the first time you might have problems with the Alien until you've learned how to handle it. At this point the game shines brightly! Wish there would be a proper sequel....

The best of stealth-horror

Alien Isolation is an incredible experience in immersion, stealth, and survival horror with light crafting options (similar to Resident Evil games). The world-building perfectly recreates the feel of the original Alien film, and it terrifies. Unfortunately the story doesn't hold up, so don't go into it for that. Go into it for the music, the puzzle-solving, the incredible environment, the frantic rush from one save point to the next. It's incredibly satisfying, and its Hard and Nightmare modes truly live up to their names. The DLC is very, very good, so get the collection. The Survival maps provide a good 20-25 run throughs each as you try to learn the layout, find the optional objectives, and then finish hitting multipliers and bonuses. The re-creations of the original movie are really convincing, even featuring the movie's original cast providing fresh dialogue. But the best of the lot are the two Salvage maps, which at your best take a good 2.5 hrs or so to complete and offer tons of replay value. I wish the team had made more of these Salvage maps. Probably the best Alien game ever made, it's a must own if you like immersive world-building, stealth, or survival horror video games.

Had this elsewhere, bought here in a heartbeat. I love the original Alien movie, and this game portrays its' atmosphere perfectly. Plus on today's hardware it simply flies... Must have.
