Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™

Amazing and nothing like it .

This is a great game inspired by a superb tabletop RPG system that aims to ambitiously be something incredible. Is an amalgamation of kirks and an infinitude of items, quests, characters, and locations. Is surprising to know this game is from 2004 and holds up together with a mix of action and roleplay-driven stories and quests. The game is wildly reactive to your actions and gives a sense of life to the universe it portrays. Have been some time since a game sucks me in so deeply (pun intended) to the point I've been working and wondering all day what will happen next in the story. Is a game that surpasses its flaws to deliver something unique - and now I understand the hype circulating its sequence. Don't game me wrong, the game is sometimes stiff, there is some strangeness to the controls, there is a myriad of bugs - and some characters have some harmful stereotypes embedded in them (goofy obese man, ludicrous black man that speaks only in slang, all the females are way too chestful or very seminude). But, despite all that, the game holds together gameplay-wise and well represents its universe, mainly when forgets its cartoonish representation of people. All this experience makes me wonder how soon I will narrate a TTRPG session in this wonderful universe of monsters and monstrosities. A must for all RPG geeks, occult lovers, and angels of the night.

This game kicks so much ass

The story, the quests, the atmosphere, the music all great but the fighting is really painful. Especially towards the end. Armies of bulletsponges and terrible fighting is no good combination.

You got RPG Elements, you got a small open world to explore, Which is great because i end up getting bored with big worlds with nothing in it, And there is plenty of challenge in this game as well with the combat, My only gripe with it is that you cannot customize your character. But other than that, pretty good game.
