Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™

I used to play the first part of the installment and I loved it. So, this time, many years later, I bought the second part. And I'm disappointed. While the plot, the core ideas and dialogues look interesting, the implementation is quite horrible. Battle mechanics is one of the worst I ever seen: I don't like infinitely spawning cops that just appear out of the air, etc. There are bugs, there are hard-scripted NPC, etc. One of the most annoying things is that levels a very-very small. Every time you go through the door, enter the room or just go to another end of the map etc the game has to load. And this process is not instant, this wastes a lot of time for me. So, buy it only if you used to play and want to bring "good old memories" of the past. Otherwise, take something better (like, uhm, witcher?).

I bought this at $7AU and i still feel ripped off. A quick shell copy of redemption to cash in. They might of had big ideas when they went to make it, but if none of it seems to have come to the end product, does it even still count? I even replayed for the Malkavian story... it's the exact same story with the cookie cutter responses jumbled around a little... FAIL. I don't buy games for what developers wished they could put in them.

4h in and all i've done were boring tasks as an errand boy. being a vampire has never been so boring. terrible fetch/fedex quests. overrated as hell

Ugh, not a fan. The graphics are obviously dated, but I couldnt' stand the visuals of the nosferatu. The body was disproportionate to the head, and the entire outfit screamed S & M. It was just odd.

The lack of any kind of in-game map makes navigating The World Of Darkness an excercise in frustration, and many areas are vitually unplayable because of it. This is a game that's only going to be enjoyable if you already know exactly where you need to go and what do to. As a Vampire: The Masquerade game, it's pretty good. As a computer game, it's very poorly designed.
