An absorbing story you shape your way

First, I loved this game overall. The story is engaging, and you can mold the narrative to your liking. I quite enjoyed the sound design, bringing the right nuance to most scenes and even giving me a few thrills. The art style reminded me of impressionist paintings, although it also felt like unfinished concept art. Still, I cannot disregard several major faults for a visual novel. The main issue for me was the language. Strange wording and grammatical errors were very off-putting at the beginning, making it obvious that English is not the first language of the developers. Even as a non-native speaker myself, these issues were obvious. One sentence in particular took me a while to figure out. I find this inexcusable. I also felt there are some inconsistencies in the story and several major questions remained unanswered, at least in my playthrough. The main conflict resolves abruptly through a deus ex machina, giving me the impression that the writers were either unsure how to end the story or rushed it. I doubted whether the game targets strictly female audience, but I found it alright. The romances felt a bit forced, but they can be skipped altogether. I liked the characters overall, as most had agency. The game took me about 4 hours to complete, which I consider reasonable, and it has good replay value. However, I dislike that it's not possible to rewind or load a savepoint from completed saves. Overall, while the game has issues, its strengths carry it through. The main question is whether you enjoy visual novels and the themes this story explores - if so, I’m confident you’ll like this game.

A decent VN - No AI

Not used to reviewing so I'll keep this brief and start with a disclaimer : Contrary to what has been suggested in some reviews (and one here) - No, THIS GAME DOESN'T CONTAIN GEN AI ART. Everything has been handcrafted by an artist. Spreading hurtful disinformation doesn't help anyone. The game in itself is a rather typical VN shining through its natural writing and entertaining story. You do have to make choices that will more or less impact your playthrough and while short, I felt it managed to promptly create a sense of bonding towards its characters. I appreciated the numerous backgrounds, pictures and characters portraits as well as the ambient music. It made for a comfy playthrough. The game doesn't have voice acting but you get used to it quite rapidly. All in all, pick up this 2016 VN if you enjoy a setting based in modern France with mature themes alongside witchcraft and intrigues. PS : If you are able to read french, I strongly suggest playing in that language. I found the french writing to be better than the english one and with less typos.

A bit short

It's a nice Visual Novel. I played it through twice. The second playthrough took me about 50 minutes, which is a bit short. Something that bugs me a bit is the strong feeling that about half the screens seem to be AI generated (you get an eye if you do some on your own rig) - the art style of course hides it pretty good, but if zoomed out pictures seem a bit unfocused and characters look in room pictures only vaguely like their closeup-counterparts, it feels of a bit... and an antagonist in the last few minutes having 6 fingers on a hand, of course. ;) The piano score is good, the characters a bit on the stereotypical side - which the games length there isn't much place for depth, sadly. The second playthrough (exactly opposing choices of the first one) showed me around 70% same content, maybe a bit more. You get some different scenes, but the overall narrative keeps the same pretty much. Obviously i did not try to get any ending.
