Rules

GOG.com Hackathon 2018 is a great place for all software engineers to show their skills and compete against other teams in project design and engineering prowess.

The theme of our hackathon is: let’s make gamers’ lives easier!

  • Sign up alone or with a team of up to 3 people
  • Submit your idea that fits the theme of the Hackathon
  • Join us for a day full of fun, work and creativity - develop your idea into reality in a great atmosphere with other talented people and teams around
  • Present the outcome of your work on stage in front of other teams and judges
  • We have a limited amount of slots, we will choose the most interesting projects

After the presentations the jury will announce the winning projects.

GOG.com engineers will be present during the hackathon to mentor you, help with any technical issues, as well as tell you more about working at GOG.com and the projects we’re building.

We'll have a good supply of coffee, soft drinks and snacks throughout the day. We also plan to order some delicious pizzas for lunch and some late night snack.

Technical requirements

You can use any technology you like, you can build a web app, mobile app, desktop app or an IoT device.

Once it’s your turn to present your project on the stage, you will explain what you’ve built, and how does it tie into the theme of the Hackathon.

We would strongly prefer if you would use one of our APIs:

  • Products catalogue
  • User authentication
  • User games library
