For the price, it's a great arcade racer
First Racer is simply just an arcade racer, and doesn't try to be anything more. It's not a particularly feature packed game, but for the £2 they're asking you can certainly have a good time with it. You do races, get cash, upgrade your cars, do more races, get more cash, and upgrade your cars some more. Honestly it's fun just getting money to buy more cars/upgrade my own car for those dopamine hits, a feature I quite like in a lot of other classic arcade racers. The game is simple to play and has quite a bit of progression to work through, so it can keep you occupied for a bit. Unfortunately there aren't any time trial modes (which is usually standard to this type of game), which is a shame. But honestly for £2, I can't complain too much. I'd be interested to see a fully fledged game from this developer.
