Nice graphics, but nothing else

-short -no character progress (other than additional HP and a shield) -level randomization just switches a few treasures and doors around -for combat you can either use the main char with his 1 dmg stick (and grenades) or switch to one of your friends that 1shots everything but has weird optics and fast energy drain -no skills, power ups, equipment or consumables other than HP restoration and energy restoration in stores -after beating the boss, you get informed that you need to befriend ~ 3 more chars to fight the real boss. So you end up playing different low level areas again to unlock those (a wrong dialog choice can cause you to miss out on a char on that run) but then the epic boss fight vs King Ping Pong turns out to be nothing than a lame minigame...

Away: A spotty Journey

So first off I have to say I still love the artwork of the characters, and that was the main draw for me to buy this title, but sadly the world behind the characters is lacking. As for combat, it's kind of a mixed bag as I enjoyed playing as the friend characters much more than the main character given he was rather weak in combat compared to even your first ally short of spamming bombs. 3 allies are gonna be outclassing most of the others you can get all of them being ranged characters that more or less let you kill or cripple a boss with their energy alone. Then add on the fact it only takes a run to nearly beat all the content aside the side paths it is a title you can beat in a day off also works against it. In short, this game should honestly drop down to at least a 10 dollar price tag in my opinion, but if they made a newer version with new content I wouldn't mind dipping into this game world again if they flushed it out better.

Sadly not much fun

As others already said- the art-style is rather nice. But ocre-gameplay sadly isn't. You begin with your main character, who is armed only with a stick that does 1 point of damage. To do some damage (or support your main char by, for example generating health) you need to add some team members. Those sadly you can only play for a given amount of time, then you have to restock their energy. This can only be done by buying cheeseburgers in a store. To unlock other areas you have to get new characters. That means you have to grind for them. At the moment (3 hours ingame) I require 1 further char to unlock the "islands" area- but I don't know, where that lacking char is to be found. All areas play exactly the same. Find three switches in a small area (that might be a little random, but that aspect of random content is so small, it just all feels the same. Nevertheless which area you go to, the boss levels and monstes are the same. You also unlock rooms in your house, but they do nothing. The unlock to a small room each with only one character inside that gives you one random line of hint which, by that time you already found out for yourself. Sadly underdelivering game.

Unplayable on AZERTY keyboards

AZERTY keyboards may not talk to everyone, this is the layout used in France. Remind you, the developer is french too. But for whatever reason they figured unrebindable WASD controls would fit. So good it would stuck even when changing keyboard layout in Windows (which works in other games like Vektor Wars for example). QWERTY users, imagine you have to use ZQSD to move, with Z for up and Q for left. Yes, this is unusable. Luckily the devs also added arrow keys as controls, which would be perfect, if the jump key wasn't spacebar. Now imagine playing this game like the FPS it is: one hand on mouse, the other on keyboard. Can you use arrow keys and press spacebar with one hand? Well, I don't. I don't even understand how devs could test this game. Again, controls are unrebindable: spacebar is the only key to jump, no right mousebutton or whatever. This makes the game totally unplayable, which is a pity as it ticks all my pros: cute, short, 1st person, rather cheap. But why did they have to mess controls this much?

Fun but really short

Let's get the good stuff out of the way first: The presentation, visuals and audio are great, the gameplay is fine for what the game is (played with kb&m), the story is silly and lighthearted. Overall what seems to be a promising game, right? Now on to some negative points: The game is suuuuper short (took around 4h to do everything), the game tries to remedy this by having multiple layouts of dungeons you run through (but they're mostly the same thing with rooms switched around) and the game is super easy. It's slightly more difficult at the beginning but that's mostly due to the fact that there is almost no tutorial and you just need to figure out stuff for yourself. Is it a good game? Sure, if you want something short and sweet to fill some time, go for it, it's not bad, I just wish it was a longer adventure. Additional information: - Controls are not rebindable, - There is no FOV slider and (at least to me) the FOV seems too high, my eyes started straining after an hour or so, - There are areas that seem to be lacking music, or perhaps it's a bug and will be fixed (this is in v1.0).
