Excellent

I bought this game recently, benefiting from all the time that has passed since its launch - (almost) no bug, DLCs are included, etc. I support most/all the past positive reviews, I am happy not to have purchased at the time it was launched (seemed very buggy/not completed yet). Now this game is a wonderful experience all along, gameplay is excellent, story is very good (difficult to gasp at the beginning if you don't know the backstory, but fine after a couple of hours). NG+ is not really usefull (200h-long play for a completionist, who wants to do that again?) One "bug" that has not been fixed [SPOILER]: there is ONE gwent card you can't get if you choose to follow a quest and make the wrong choice during that quest. Keyword "Olivier". Also I believe they could have added a gwent-vendor-locator-magic-artifact when you complete the main story.

This is what AAA titles should be

I love this game. I originally bought it on Steam because I didn't know about the GOG site at the time. Now I bought it here because it was worth it. The fighting mechanics were a massive improvement from the previous game and I loved the talent system. The alchemy tree felt like it was worth using and it was an amazing improvement from the previous games. Swordplay felt great and the new killing strokes seemed to flow nicely into the combat. Graphics? They speak for themselves without any need for additional comment. Story? It got me running numerous playthroughs because I wanted to experience it again and again and try out various scenarios. It's not Anthem-level story, but it holds its own and will for many years to come. This is a game that people will talk about decades from now. Does the game have choices? Psh. More than you could possibly choose in a handful of playthroughs. I recommend playing the game entirely untouched on your first playthrough. Then after that the modding community should be given a hat tip to. They made some amazing content for the game that took the already amazing game and added even more content to further alter your playthrough (I personally loved the random monster encounter mod because it added an extra excitement to the game. It's also fun to be able to run around with Triss as your ever faithful companion). Now the DLC. I typically never buy DLC because it's always basic content that should have been added into the game from the beginning and now they're making you pay more so you can own the entirety of the game. Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine DLC throw that out the window. You have a complete game and these two DLC just add to the already incredible game. Heart of Stone is an amazing story that will give you whiplash. Blood and Wine not only gives you a great story, but it opens up and entirely new area and provides you with a home. These DLC should be industry standard, but sadly it appears that CD Project Red is special.

Terrible keyboard layout

I played W1 and W2 and they are just awesome and I am finally starting with W3. The game so far seems great but I am only starting with it so can't say too much. But what happened with the keyboard layout/bindings? It's utterly terrible? W1 and W2 had decent key bindings and I did not change anything. In W3 you have to change most of it before the game is playable with KB+M. Obviously a console-port...

Let me explain why this game is a 4,5*

There are so many posts about the positives, let's face some negative points: Gameplay: ° There is no way to skip cut scenes as whole, just to the next sentence which is often annoying ° No level adjusted gear for the non story missions: it can happen that you go somewhere as a LVL 40 character, and then do a great find (some kind of stash) and then you find really nice relicts - however they would be useful only if you level was 10 or so... ° Variety of trophies: you can hunt down the worst nightmare boss opponent, however you will be disappointed by the trophy stats each time (they don't change, its always 5% of any) ° Fist fighting is ridiculously unbalanced, I wished I had a Joystick for it like on my C64 ° Most relics you just find in missions are way better than crafted gear, which makes crafting questionable (they often even look better) ° Running is faster than riding a horse, right.... ° there is just torches, dim light only - even though you find other way better/stable sources of light around (like laterns) you cannot pick them up and use ° after LVL 30+ I've stopped distributing skill points, because all my slots were full with maxed out skills - what's the point here? Technicals: ° the vegetation is very nervous, like there was a constant earthquake in the world not wind - sometimes this applies also to clothes, amulets etc. ° auto-Save engages after unsuccessful events, not just before them as expected (you loose a quest or fight) really strange thinking here ° there is a quick save but no quick load or did I miss something? Now this is what I remembered just in 5 Min. but there would be more - but I think CDprojekt needs more of such input to improve further.
