I'm up to the part in East Shanbar where I drop the bra box into the incinerator to get the wire to unlock the General Store door but for some reason the game doesn't give me the option. The only things I can do is "Examine Bra Box" and "Put back in inventory"

You're supposed to pull lever 1 (the lever on the right) and throw the bra box in the top part of the incinerator.

I am having the same issue, not being able to burn the bra box. This is a significant stopping point. Originally, you needed to pull lever 2, open the drawer, drop in the box, closer drawer, burn it, then open drawer to get the wire. Throwing it does nothing but drop it on the ground. It seems to me I should be able to burn anything, but nothing can be put in. Is there a solution or have I paid for a bum version?

Got carried away with my remembering playing originally. Remembered wrong. Works fine as long as things are thrown in the correct spot. Sorry about the ass hattyness.
