I was playing Zeus for the first time, doing the first missions, I build a granary, and later on a storage, my problem is that my storage was getting filled up, but they were not transport it from the storage to the granary, even though I set the granary to Get, I had to micromanage it putting the stockpiles to Empty. So for food storage should I just build more granaries or only one granary and storages?

So what you describe should work fine for food storage to granary, no need to micro. The Granary should go get the grain from the warehouse when it needs it. If thats not working, something else is stopping it. You have stockpiling on, trade is taking priority, something.

Some things to check...

- Stockpiling
- Trade priority
- Get on the Storage will not allow it to got to the Granary
- Road connection

Personally, I usually build granaries solely based on where my housing blocks are, If they are close enough to one that already exists, good. If not, I plop down another. I try and hold only so much surplus to optimize my workers. Storing grain doesnt provide a lot of use in my mind. Either I want to trade it or eat it. Unless I am super worried about a food demand or need it to summon a hero.
I usually have Storage next to the Granary. Having food loaded onto the Storage Yard, then set the Granary to "Get" for the adjacent food items has always been the most efficient (for me anyway) of moving food from the fields to the Housing Blocks. And I usually have a separate storage yard from the major food supply(ies)-- like wheat. Because that is usually the food that will be needed to fill requests.
Thanks for the quick replies, I think I figured the problem, the granary had a shortage of workers.

added on to my other post. you should try to maintain enough supplies to feed 4k more people then you have and stored food for 10-15 months.

For what earthly purpose? If you have an entirely crop based diet, perhaps you can keep some. But a 10 month surplus for 4k people!?!?? Half your economy must be supporting storage you will never use. Thsi reminds mean of the end of Raiders... row upon row of sealed boxes no one will ever touch.

because i have the habit of rapidly expanding my population without upgrading anything else so it lets me keep a nice safety net for the incoming f up. also helps if you have cities buying that food type :D
