NIS America confirmed they will be bringing the latest game in the series to the West, on Playstation 4, Switch and PC, so, hopefully, we'll see a GOG version, as well.

I know I was very skeptical of NISA regarding Ys VIII and the PC release was, in fact, a complete disaster, but they completely redeemed themselves, as time went on, and Ys VIII's PC port is, for all intents and purposes, a better port, today, than whatever XSEED ever did. The localization process went through some rough patches, but I think ultimately they did a decent job, respecting what XSEED had done before, and in terms of optimization it offers A LOT of options and you can play the game on a toaster well below the minimum requirements (I know I do).

Here's to hoping the absurd backlash they got on GOG when they released Ys VIII didn't burn any bridges and they decide to release Monstrum Nox in here, as well (I know the article I linked to only mentions a PC version "via Steam", but NISA themselves announced a "PC version", no mention of "just on Steam" -- albeit Steam having an Ys IX page already up, whereas GOG does not).
As it has already been pointed out in another thread, the official site of Ys IX has the GOG logo, so there is almost confirmation that we will see the game on GOG too. :D

Great news, Alexim! Thanks for sharing this.

Now, if only NISA also brought killer7 to GOG... :( Though I guess that one being stuck on Steam has more to do with Capcom than NIS America, to be fair.
Further confirmation, here's the GOG store page.

Now, I wonder if NIS will need months of patching to make this one playable on PC as well. With any luck, Durante is still on board and helping bugfix the hell out of this game to make it the best it can be from the off.
