Just in case anyone is wondering whether or not the OSTs are included with the game (or want them), you can find all of the games BGM in .ogg format in the installation folders for each game.

If you want them in higher quality, you can find most of Falcom's music on iTunes and amazon for fairly cheap.
Love that they use .ogg :).

To anyone new to Oath in Felghana, I recommend you check out the redbook audio soundtrack of Ys III as OiF is a remake. The original soundtrack is awesome (I prefer it).
Too bad they didn't include lossless audio and all the soundtrack. The original japanese release of Felghana had 8 cd of soundtracks and remixes.
^ Too bad they didn't offer all their catalog and music for free, right? ...
Sometimes I really don't understand people and their mentality.

To understand people mentality one has to first stop having biased guess of what other people think. Obviously you can still immaginary argue with someone on the base of an argument you made up, but that doesn't bring to anything useful.
The point of the comment was that a game like Ys in which the music has such an important role and has that kind of quality, deserve more than a compressed audio in the game folder (which is the audio used by the game).
Now, considering GOG often talk highly of itself for releasing game with extras that other store doesn't provide, releasing these games with only a bunch of wallpapers has really missed the opportunity to do a better service. To be fair, no one offer the soundtrack for the game in its english release. Also, the comment didn't take in account the price matter, the soundtrack free or paid, would have been a really good addition anyway.

Good argued. Many apologies if I might have insulted you and put you in the wrong corner; you don't seem to be one of "them". If I'd read your first post more attentive, I would have recognized that someone of "them" probably wouldn't know or care about the original japanese release.
BUT... the 8 cd's you mentioned were part of the Limited Edition, and such editions aren't offered for the same prices as the standard versions, of course. Why should gog offer them, (which is lossless audio) for download? Why should I buy a Limited or Collectors Edition if the ingredients will be part of a cheaper digital release? I guess your "comparing" between 8 CD's (of the LE) and no music (gog-release) made me a bit upset...
Furthermore gog.com isn't that free - I strongly assume that - to offer what they want or what we would like to see as part of the offered game. There are always contracts and licenses and all of this 'crap'. ;) How often I must have sighed to see there's no music included as goodie :(
Maybe more goodies will be added later if NF/XSeed see that their games are gonna be bought well at gog.com.

PS: Sometimes we're all biased - in one way or another. ;P

Apologies accepted and I understand where that comment could have come from, but we should try to avoid guessing and putting people in the position of react to defend themself.
Even if that person doesn't know of the japanese edition, he could be informed insted of blaming him for not knowing, maybe new information could simply change his perception of the topic.
I wouldn't expect gog to release 8 cd of sountrack for free, but from there to have a release without neither the main soundtrack for this particular game, the least I could say is that is a pity. I understand that that soundtrack should be provided first by XSEED because GOG has an agreement with them, but that doesn't make the lack of a sountrack extras less daunting.
About the Limited Edition, I believe it's not available anymore, so I doubt that whatever price the sountrack could have, it would impact the sales. I personally own a copy of that LE, but I wouldn't mind a digital version of it and it would be a really good addition to the gog release.

Soundtracks won't be added any time soon if ever since Falcom makes money from selling their music (soundtracks and various compilations, arrangements albums etc.) in physical formats and on iTunes, so it's ultimately their call.

Besides the .ogg files in these games are of higher than needed bitrate to be indistinguishable from the music in lossless formats.
Does anyone have a track list so that I can rename them properly?

The best option is (unfortunately) to hop on youtube and snatch track titles from there...

I understand this is a long-dead thread, but I've got a niche question and don't know where else to ask that I haven't already:
I was looking for the tune that plays when you get to the outside, upper floors of Darm Tower in Ys 1, but can only find, like, three remixes of the song (often titled "Darm Tower (Upper Chambers)") on YouTube. I can't find it, or reference to it anywhere else (save in-game itself). I downloaded my copy of the game and looked through the music directory but can't find it in there either. Is it there and I'm just not finding it or what?
I noticed the music in the music folder is missing some numbers too. Could it be one of those?
