Okay, so I was able to play this game a few weeks ago.

Today, I click "Play" and it goes to the title screen. I press Start. Now another screen is shown with Space (or A) to Select. But it doesn't do anything. I cannot progress beyond this screen.

Is this a problem anyone else is having? I've already re-installed the game, but no dice.

Very frustrating.

Same here, the only difference being that i just installed it for the first time.
Same here, I was playing it 2 days ago.
Well, good to hear I'm not the only one! It's been driving me nuts!
I've contacted support about this problem; hopefully we'll find out soon how to fix this.
Same here. I wanted to use a PS3 controller, which works fine for "Hob" for example. The game recognizes the start button but when I should press A, no buttons work on the controller. So when I unplug the controller and try to play with keyboard+mouse, I'm promted to press Space, which doesn't work either. Su the game is unplayable for now.
Same problem, it ran just fine about a week ago, but since about 3 days it gets stuck on the nonexistent main menu.
I tried different controllers, "Verify installation" and reinstalling the game completely (as well as removing save files). Nothing works.
What I don't understand is how this happened all of a sudden. Did they push an update? There's no evidence of it in Galaxy...
I'm really not sure how it could have happened. It's unfortunate, especially given a lack of support for GOG's platform from the devs. I've sent bug reports to both GOG and Playtonic, and have started a thread in the Playtonic forums:

For anyone who just purchased the game recently on GOG, I recommend getting a full refund and purchasing the game on Steam, as the Steam version works perfectly and is still supported.

This is a really good game, but the future of support for GOG is lacking.
Got a reply from support:
I am sorry for late reply.
We are aware of this issue which seems to affect Windows 10 users.
Fix is being prepared and it should be deployed tomorrow.
I apologise for inconvenience.
So they're aware of the problem. Hopefully it'll be solved soon.

Is that from GOG or from Playtonic/Team 17? I hope it's resolved soon as well.
Looks like the issue had something to do with the GOG Galaxy SDK. The patch today fixed it the issue.

GOG support, and yeah, it was a Galaxy error, so it should be fixed now.
It doesn't work all the time for me, although that may be due to GOG Galaxy's incessant connection problems. Even right now, the client won't connect to GOG, but the game still works. Go figure.

EDIT: The client finally connected, and the menu is gone again. Oh, and now it's here. The issue is really intermittent.

Hmm, I opened the game up this morning to see and it worked, but if it's intermittent that's gonna be annoying. Try running the game without the client. It didn't work before the patch, but maybe it will now?
